Bought this about a year ago, same price. Good deal for how powerful it is. Sucks everything you throw at it and use it in the shop with woodworking tools, table saw, with a Dust Deputy cyclone. It's large and loud but can't be beat for the price. If you're looking for something quieter, the Dewalt Stealthsonic is incredibly quiet.
Does anyone know how the hose is on this one? I've had a rigid shop vac for at least 10 or 15 years, and while sure it sucks just great, the hose is crap. It's this stiff plastic that doesn't flex at all and kinks every time you try to bend it. Only reason I haven't junked the thing is because it still works. But I'm tired of putting up with this stupid stuff hose.
I have this one. Works well. I kind of wanted to buy the 6hp one because I think it's a little better, but this one was on sale a couple of years ago and in stock, and I needed it that weekend for a project. It has served me well sucking up dust and renovation waste. Works great with the filters.
Purchased a non rolling version 2 years ago and it works great, no issues. I'm told this is the brand to buy and this is a good size and price. Look for filters elsewhere but they shouldn't be hard to find in this size.

I got the 6 and it sucks. No really it sucks a lot.
How does this compare to a Shop-Vac 12 gallon 6 HP (for anyone who has owned both)? I've owned one for years and was never impressed with the suction power. I'm interested in this deal but not if it isn't any better than what I currently have.

I wish they still made the kind with the upright handle to help push it around. Additionally, it had a bag on the handle to store all of the accessories. It was nice to have all of the accessories available on the unit.
This is a great deal for this vacuum I paid 89 when it was on sale a while ago. I used to clean my car and it sucks up everything like kids leave behind.
