I freaking love this watch. The strap is way long (had to cut it with scissors) but even for my itty bitty 6.5" wrist, it wears fine (for any large g-shock anyway)
It's my landscaping/yard work, working in the shed, woodworking and doing crap outside the house watch. The vibration alarm and alerts is so awesome since I'm almost always wearing ear protection from table saws, blowers, etc. but I still get the notifications and hourly "chimes" since it has a vibrate mode.
Readability isn't the best among casios due to negative display, but the backlight is good. Love the fact I can just run this under the sink at the end of the day to make it good as new again.
For $22, it's a great watch.

The g-shock is resin and glass.
I would suggest the g-shock because the difference is one looks like a real watch and the other looks like cheap toy plastic.
the 21 dollar one is good for the price, for 12 year old boy,
I had the white version of this cheaper watch, it looks rugged in the picture but irl even with recessed face it scratches fast because its soft plastic not glass. In person the difference in materials is obvious. I eventually gave it away.
The g-shock is as cheap as its ever been. You don't save money if you won't wear it.
