This fills the grease reservoir in a hammer drill, making it run better. Most people don't bother.

Great deal, in for 1!

Now, can someone tell me what this is for exactly?

Scam. I used this to grease my hammer, especially the handle, and it won't work anymore.

Good stuff, not just to grease our hammers. Wink

I use this to prevent or delay corrosion on many things. Convenient squeeze bottle.

It's very similar to blinker fluid for your car's turn signals.

apply a thin coating to the end of your hammer...
ensures hanging picture level, straight and square every time!!!

I have a cheap harbor freight SDS, do I want this grease for the port that says replace every 30 days or it'll void the warranty? I guess I scoop it out and refill it, but it seems so thick that it seems unlikely to flow where it needs to go.

I can use this to lube the bit shaft as well, right?

Sorry to ask you all this, but your's is the only helpful post so far!

You simply dip/smear this on the shanks of the bits before use.

I leave the grease in. I don't use the hammerdrill enough to care if it only makes 100 holes. I'll still be fine as I'll probably only ever drill 50.

My uncle's company drilled something like 24000 holes recently into i beams using HIlti. They had no lube for the whole job. All held up fine. Maybe 8 drills made all the holes.
