Paying $30 more for the spotlight seems like a no brainer considering its so useful for scaring intruders off and getting better pic quality.

Get it, this is a good value for a hassle free camera. I've been using these over a year now and they are holding up strong. The prior model (s40) even though it has lights, is a pointless product when its IP rating is falsely advertised. I had multiple s40 go bad with internal water damage, doesn't matter what features it has if it cant work. My S220s have gone through a full years of seasonal weather AND even a hurricane, they are champs. If you want something simple to mount and have sunlight to give, buy one!

Two of my solocams, s220 and s40, are all stop detecting after about 8 months. Not matter how I reset them.
