I've used eufy now for 4 years. No issues . These same cameras . However, during winter I have to charge them once. Only other brand I used was Arlo and didn't like them.

I agree. The app works well and I don't experience any issues often. I even pay for the monitoring. Put them all in the same ecosystem and purchase an SD card.

Yea even though the home base works as memory , I use both with as in case power goes out cameras are still actively saving footage

We've got a couple of the 320 solar cams hiding in trees just in case someone ever tries jamming. Also PoE cameras mounted in the second story eaves, with cross FoV coverage of the perimeter... not necessarily an effective deterrent, but at least there will be footage after the fact.

I love these cameras. Have had one on my back fence pretty far from my WiFi and I haven't touched it in almost two years. Never needs to be charged and has always caught movement

Curious does anyone buy the base? It looks like a mini computer and storage drive

I have no experience with Eufy cams (we have a few of their other products), but have many (10+) Tapo cameras, ranging from fixed to pan-tilt, to indoor to outdoor, and hardwired and solar, in climates ranging from northern New England to Florida (where the outdoor survived a hurricane). Really have no issues with them. All are set up with local storage via sd-cards and no cloud.

I love my S220's. I picked up 3 about a year ago. Resolution is great, battery life is great, detection is great. One of our cameras is in constant direct sunlight, and we've never had to charge it. Another is in direct sunlight about 70% of the time, and we've had to charge it twice. The third is in a pretty shady area, and we've had to charge it 3 times.

Curious how long you have your unit? Pretty standard to die out at the one year mark as to solar charging consistently.

I have both, I prefer my Tapos more.
I really don't like my Eufy cameras though, they tend to either stop recording too soon or just miss recording events completely.

You can either send it in to Eufy with the warranty OR attach a cheap solar panel to them.
I have some S220 cameras that are using cheap external solar panels and they're always charged up.
