I got mine open box for $380. The screen is only good for indoors areas, brightness and color accurate is not that good, also I only got 5GB RAM free since the rest is used for the GPU even if you are not gaming, good thing it only came with one slot 8GB DDR5 RAM, so if you buy another 8GB or 16GB stick you will be ready to go. Buying more ram is mandatory for me, specially if you're going to game on this thing.

8GB is definitely not enough for a gaming laptop - 100% agree with upgrading the RAM. 16GB's total IMO is enough for most people.

What do you suggest then? I hope it is not expensive. I always believe gaming pc build is more expensive than traditional gaming console. Laptop has it own limitations of course.

Series X vs this is my thought process šŸ¤”

Popping another 8GB of RAM in this is cheap and easy. PC probably cheaper in the long run, more game providers/clients, better game deals, and laptops can be used for general computer use.

Bought this open box last go around. I got one without the charger. I'd spring for better than "fair" if I were to buy again.

It took a whole 5 minutes to upgrade the ram to 16gb. It runs and plays everything well (albeit with low settings). Definitely a good value for a laptop with discreet graphics.

If you add ram try to use Dual Rank Ram if possible.
Ryzen really boosts with dual channel and with dual rank slightly more.

Yeah, I was going to say the specs on the screen don't sound too hot, except for 144hz which is nice

How is the graphics card holding up?.

You could survive on 8GB- but the problem is this is single channel memory config, so it's slower than if they just gave you 4x2 instead of 8x1. So yeah, buying more RAM is pretty much required- but only to enable dual channel.

Got one open box for $389.99 which came in its original box and charger, zero scratches/defects. It is quite heavy and the screen has decent amount of brightness, I love the part that it has a dedicated numpad. I bought additional 8GB RAM from Amazon for $20, making it a sweet deal for $410 Smilie

I recommend adding additional RAM and if needed upgrade the SSD to 1TB

The 4GB of VRAM is the only issue with this laptop.
Even 6GB VRAM nowadays is on the low side... almost all titles today require a minimum of 6GB.
