Not a fan of Rayovac. You need to make sure you don't leave them in for extended periods of time. They WILL leak. Harbour freight Orange is the way to go at these prices.

I agree. Rayovac batteries were the worst offenders when it came to leaking. They would just leak in the package while on the shelf. Not sure if it's just marketing non-sense or they actually did something about it as the label indicates.

As one who has 8 deer cameras with 8 batteries per camera, I have learned Harbor Freight's Thunderbolt Edge batteries are great for the price, especially with their coupon sales:

This is a fantastic deal. Ordered. We use almost exclusively rechargeable batteries, but sometimes you need that extra voltage from disposable batteries for some devices. We like to buy Rayovac because they're made here in the US. I checked the page and supposedly these are too

Everytime there is a Royovac deal people always jump on and say they are trash and don't get them.

Sure Rayovacs probably leak more often than other good brands, but if you arent putting these in expensive electronics and and switch them every few months, it shouldnt be a problem.

Just look at the reviews. If the Rayovacs instantly leak, the average rating wouldnt be so high.

For the price it's fine.

If you want to spend more money and get a better product, buy Energizers or Lithium

There are the worst batteries I have bought. They drain fast.

Strange all of the leaking issues as over the years I have only once had a leaking issue with an alkaline. Carbon zinc yes. Anyway, I appreciate the warning as I have Rayovac on a scheduled delivery for a size D twelve pack. I'll research a bit to see if I should cancel.

Here to contribute to the "don't buy, they leak" conversation.

Also baffled why there are counter-arguments that those of us who post these warnings are not representative of real life usage. I guess only Slickdeals users have bad luck getting leaky Rayovacs.

I myself am grateful for warnings on products that could cause damage or harm, no matter how good of a deal it may look like.

Everyone who purchased these ... throw them out, ASAP. Of all of the brands I have used, this brand leaks the most. If you want to ruin your electronic devices, install these and forget about them. That will do it. Amazon Basics batteries are better than these ...
I did it....I threw all of my batteries out. They weren't leaking but your post was so terrifying that I just had to do it. Thank you for saving me!

I usually would get these for under $10 on BF at Home Depot or Lowe's and haven't really had any leak issues personally. Probably gonna be hard to find this quantity at the price I paid as seems all retailers have drastically jacked up their prices and lowered quantity!
