Not a fan of Rayovac. You need to make sure you don't leave them in for extended periods of time. They WILL leak. Harbour freight Orange is the way to go at these prices.

I agree. Rayovac batteries were the worst offenders when it came to leaking. They would just leak in the package while on the shelf. Not sure if it's just marketing non-sense or they actually did something about it as the label indicates.

Why buying this? Duracell is about $0.25/each when on sale. This one comes to $0.22. Duracell seem like a shxt to me but it still beat this as 4.8 vs 4.6 in score

I've read Duracell is behind the Kirtland AA and AAA batteries.

Another vote for shrinkage. I MEAN LEAKAGE! I WAS IN THE POOL! XD And like shrinkage, cold adversely affects these batteries. Heck, for that matter, so does room temperature. Rayovac was my favorite brand years ago. Now they're terrible unless used immediately and removed from the device after a year -- either a slow-draw device like a room thermostat or a periodic-use device like a flashlight. Never again.

Avoid these batteries like the plague unless you like leaks/corrosion on the battery terminals of your electronics.

Everyone who purchased these ... throw them out, ASAP. Of all of the brands I have used, this brand leaks the most. If you want to ruin your electronic devices, install these and forget about them. That will do it. Amazon Basics batteries are better than these ...
Of all the brands I have used, Duracell leaks the most. Mostly use rechargeables, but when I need alkaline I use Rayovac and they haven't ruined anything over the last 20 years. But I don't leave dead batteries in devices, which is the main cause of leakage regardless of brand.

Any way to prevent leaking?
Don't buy them. As other have suggested, the Orange Harbour Freight are great. With coupons your paying around the same. I use the in a lot of electronics and never had one leak.

Got a 60 pk from home depot before and more than half of them leaked and the expiry was in 2028. Rest of those that didn't leak in the box, leaked in the devices. Never buying these again!!

Purchased multiple sizes in the past at Home Depot when they ran on sale. Corroded in DVR recorder remote $25. Corroding in package too. All in date.
RAYOVAC WARRANTY says they will repair or replace item! COULD NOT GET ANYONE TO ANSWER PHONE AT RAYOVAC customer service.. Multiple Calls. I like to support American Made, but not this time! Past return date at Home Depot. Money in trash.
Will admit, they were low cost alkalines with blue tops...

12 year power guarantee ? LOL what a bold faced LIE. They might as well claim 1200 year storage guarantee because it would be just as worthless as 12 year. I've had rayocraps for under 2 years in storage, unopened and they already started leaking. As a company and product rayocraps are just that, fecal matter.
