I LOVE my Q-revo as a bot-mop but its vacuum (at 5500) is pretty pathetic. It has endless trouble with little white dog toy stuffing on low pile carpet, and also sand/grit lying on the tile grout lines. As much as I hated my older iRobot i7 and 680, neither seemed to have any trouble with picking that stuff up. Definitely keep shopping for the Revo; but I would suggest passing this model in favor of the newer version with more suction.

This simply isn't true, at least with this model. The water in the waste tank does indeed get nasty when left for a long time. But it's completely sealed from the room and the rest of the machine. No smell escapes. I've left water in for almost 2 weeks and while it was disgusting, there was no smell outside of the machine.

Folks, the fact that the smell doesn't leak out of the sealed water tank should not provide much comfort.

As one person pointed out, these auto-fill and drain mopping vacs are still in their early generations. Mold can be a problem and is really bad for your health and that of your family.

The clean water tank should never smell. Period. That's the water that's going to go into the robot to mop your floors. You don't want a robot spreading moldy water all over your house. Kind of defeats the purpose. And if you have to empty it daily to prevent issues, then you've got mold growing in the system.

Roborock sells silver ion cartridges that go in the clean water tank, and cleaning solution that you add to the clean water tank when you fill it up. Those should help.

The newest models disinfect and dry the mops before and after each cycle. I have the Qrevo Curv and the dock is pretty impressive. It's only 6 weeks old but the mops and the clean water tank have remained spotless and odor free. The used water tank can get stinky but it's isolated, with the valves at the top, so I just splash a little bleach on the bottom every time I empty it and that has solved the issue (don't do this with the clean water tank!)

Is there a comparable version that's bagless? Definitely don't want to deal with bags.
If you get one with a self-emptying dock, then you're dealing with bags. The benefit of the bags is that all the crap and dust and microorganisms you've sucked into the bag stay sealed up. When you dump a dustbin out into the trash directly, you release a plume of dust back into the room.

Roborock dust bags are quite sturdy, so you could empty them out and reuse them, but you'd have that same plume of dust problem.

From a cost standpoint, generics are cheap on AliExpress [aliexpress.us].

Ah you underestimate the nastiness other people may have in their homes to cause such stench…

I've had eufy vacs with 4000kPa or less and haven't had this issue. Yours was potentially defective or bad design

Interesting, it COULD also because there is only one roller (irobot had 2 spinning opposite to one another)

If we exclude costco return policy. Isn't this the better model for lower price than costco?

Has no one seen these in store? I know it says online only, but I thought they carried these in store too at some point.

Got it. So that makes the same price on both of them, but the amazon one is latest model and has 7000 pa as suction power. So still this is a good deal than amazon one?

Correct, that is why I cancelled my Costco order as those looks like are the older models with less suction power

One complaint I have (and I see others online) is that the cold water mopping smells like death if you don't empty the bucket immediately after every use. Idk if newer hot water models fixed that but if so I may return and replace.
I just put a little bit of oxyclean or a few drops of bleach in the dirty water tank after I dump it. It prevents any smell and it keeps anything from growing. Problem solved.

The only reason the Costco one is getting any traction at all, and it's a big reason, is because of their return policy. Buying the QRevo S from Amazon is the wayyyyy better option if you're only looking at capabilities and cost. I mean why would you pay $40 more for an older/lesser model. You wouldn't accept for the awesome return policy and protection you get from buying at Costco. It's really a shame Costco doesn't carry the S model honestly, I think most people would spend a little more and buy that from them. It's the only reason I'm still pondering buying from Costco instead of Amazon.

I'll definitely pay a premium with Costco. Just run a search of warranty experiences with Roborock on reddit or other forums - total nightmare. Costco is worth it

Exactly why I keep going back and forth. I'm hoping Costco has them in store today when I stop. If they do I'll just pick one up there. Reddit has a ton of horror stores dealing with Roborock customer service. You can't beat Costco. Plus it's probably only a matter of time before Costco starts carrying the newer models, so if the current one fails you can return it and get the newer model.
