Trading in an iPhone for a Pixel, who in their right mind would ever do that? Giving your personal information to the world's largest information broker and seller Google. No one with a double digit IQ would make that trade.
iPhones have full disk encryption. When you fully reset them, the encryption key goes with it. Even Google is not getting anything from it. Look at Windows' BitLocker feature, same thing. If the encryption key is lost nobody is getting data from the device again. Even law enforcement is stymied when an iPhone is simply restarted, let alone reset. https://www.pcmag.com/news/iphone...cking-them
Traded a Pixel 7 for a 9. 360 trade in and could also stack 10% with ID.me (nurse). Will end up at 251.08 after trade in. Pretty slick to offload a two year old phone.
Pixel 9 introduce a super simple and smooth setup process. It's slowly going to other non Google phones over time. Don't make that a reason why not to do this deal. It's really easy peasy now
Pixel 8 made most things simple. But there were apps no longer on play store that didn't get uploaded to new phone. Also, those apps (like my calendar app and widget) have configuration files that need to be copied over. 95% all copied and ready but that last 5% can be a pain the arse to find everything that needs to be tweaked a bit.
I considered this deal, but the TMobile deal was better for me and enough to give me nudge to trade in my wife's Pixel 7 for a Pixel 9. Waived the activation fee and next day shipping. Sure I will have to get the 24 months of credits, but with my grandfathered plan (cheap) I'm not going to change plans any time soon. Basically $50 for tax to upgrade two model years. Sounds right.
They're offering $699 for my 256GB P8 Pro but I can't decide if the upgrade to the 9 pro xl is worth $195. There are no real noticeable differences as far as I can tell
I also have the P9 Pro XL up from my P7Pro and it was def worth the upgrade, I only paid like $100 though but even for $195 I would do it. Battery lasts longer and doesnt get too hot. the brightness is also much higher, I think it's worth it and you'll have a newer device to later trade in again next time lol

Another tip which I was given and used when I pre'd my P9ProXL is upgrade your Google One to 2TB option (pay only a month $9.99) and get 10% back on Google Store Credit (which was $100 when I did it) and then downgrade before the month is up.

So trade for oneplus 13 or pixel 10xl... could just sell for iPhone 16PM.
I'm not sure what you gain by changing to pixel. OneUI7 beta is closer to stock android skins.
