Handy especially in some tight spaces like tighten up the screws at the back of the double curtain rod.

Me too. Seems like most products are designed to avoid ever having to use one of these.

It is not very commonly used, but there is nothing better at doing what this does. I needed it for replacing a ceiling fan that had a beauty collar around it, and have since used it for multiple door knob fixes.

Thanks! These are great in tight spots, especially under dashes. The mini ratchet is a great deal also!

I've used a 1/4 wrench and a bit before to accomplish what this does, but this seems WAY easier to use and can fit in tighter spots.

I have one knob that sucks. Crappy "Z" style turners are made of tin foil and just strip. It's not quite cross threaded but that side doesn't come off for better access so this would maybe work.

Darned knob is functional but it bothers me that I have not been able to seat the fastener.

I bought these three years ago for 12.99. I've probably only used them 5 times, but was really glad to have them when nothing else would fit.

I think ratchet is much more useful than fixed screwdriver for tight spaces where you typically do not have good visibility of screw head.

By all means, use a ratchet if you can, but these are tiny and made for spaces in which ratchets won't fit.

They make 1/4 but ratchets that are hardly any bigger than these. If you're in a tight spot you'll be much happier with a ratcheting design. I've worked on industrial equipment with screws in difficult spaces and have used these types of tools often. Here's a link to an example of what I'm describing.

The clearance isn't quite as tight as the one posted but usually it will get the job done. I've never needed one as low profile as the one in this post but I'm sure those situations exist,

I had a great need for one of these the other day. Going to request it as a stocking stuffer to prevent the irritation I had using a regular screwdriver in the compact space I was stuck in.

I agree, these work really well, use them to access blend door actuators and the like when I couldn't get the tiny ratchet in there.
