I went with a dual rollerblade style from amazon. I.e. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B9BJ1PGL
I bought one circa 2017 and used it for years. I'd sit in it for just a couple
of hours a night and would often end up with a sore back. I was miserable. The piston failed on it at one point and had to be replaced. The mes his that super scratchy "productivity mesh" that causes people to go insane (as seen in the documentary, Better Off Ted). I spent $300 on this thing. It's the third chair since 2010 that I had bought for about $300 that has been utterly destroyed in just a couple years of honestly just 'light' use.
In 2020, once the office went work-from-home, I nicked my Herman Miller Mirra 2 from the office because it was a comfortable chair. I had been sitting in that chair for eight hours a day at the office and never had a problem. When I brought it home, I was in it for 12 hours a day at times and never had a problem.
I kept it. I've been using the Herman Miller since 2017 (when the company bought new furniture) as well in some capacity for at least eight hour a day. It looks brand new. Everything works. It's still very comfortable. It's worth the $1200 MSRP but you can find them off-lease at furniture resellers for half that.
These HM chairs are honestly worth every dollar.
DO NOT buy this Hykon chair It is god awful. Save your back. Save your money. Save yourself.
Gas pistons are generic parts that cost about $20, if for some reason you want to fix this piece of shit and it is out of warranty.

Honestly both are fine. I sit at my desk and work from home for 8-10 hours.
No problems with either.
It's a good chair, but I don't think I've ever seen it for full price. I bought mine around this price point as well. I sat on Harman Kardon chairs at work and this isn't noticeably different (for like 1/100 of the price).
