It probably won't affect you but I will share with you anyway since you asked. The US version does not have the cellular bandwidth support of all 4g bands. The US version Pixel 9 (and other previous Pixels) is missing the Band39 for LTE and N79 for 5G to be specific. So it won't work for some carriers outside the US that uses primarily the Band39 and N79.See version comparision below:https://support.google.com/pixelp...y=%2Cpixel
Only one carrier currently uses band 39, but it is a big one... https://www.frequencycheck.com/ca...d_eq%5D=37

IIRC, the Pixel 7 Pro was first offered for a higher price ($399?) and then in late December, the price was slashed down to $99+plan-cost.

I'm upgrading from Moto Power G 2021 so I'm super excited for this deal.
I'm upgrading from a Pixel 3 XL. My 3 XL is honestly OK for the most part, but the battery drains way too quick now. I figure it wouldn't be worth spending whatever it would cost to have someone replace the battery, so I might as well get a new phone.

But this is only $300. How much more is the Pixel 9 Pro going to be?

I really don't know why. Next time I travel, I am going to use a different carrier that does not use these missing band on the US version Pixels.

So far I have found that iPhone models sold in different countries have the best band coverage across the globe.

Ooooh the pro is missing it too, I thought it had all. Why do they do that? It's annoying.

Yes, this was stated in the ordering page if you are to place an order with the 12-month plan. As I mentioned, it is 45 days within the purchase date, not the delivery date.

Nice. I assume you did the $10 5GB tello plan?
I think lancerjin is saying we could buy the Pixel 9 + plan ($479) now and wait until later (up to 45 day) to port in number/activate it. That would certainly be nice. I am on the 15GB/month @ $240/year until Jan 15. I don't use 15GB/month, but going to unlimited for $60 less would be slick.

Mine ordered yesterday is still in limbo. Order status says "No information is currently available" and it's still not on my account.

Chat rep told me yesterday that it would take 24 hours to process. It's been longer than that.

It's a U.S. holiday, of course, but I would have thought the automated systems would have processed it by now. Wondering if I should place another order or just wait and see.
Had this same thing going on with mine. Contacted customer service via chat and they gave me my order number which never showed up on my email. With this you can track it (Google "mint order status"). Now it finally says it'll arrive on Monday.

Is $300 for the phone for existing Mint customers only or anyone can without subscribing to Mint?
How to buy the phone for $300?
