Isn't Staples 50% back in points on all printers this week. That makes this only $62 if you can use the $62 in points for other Staples products. No brainer if you need a cheap printer and shop at Staples.

Does anyone have this model and verify that you don't have to do a test print at least once a week without the printer heads drying up? I know this is a common problem with eco printers from what I've read.

I have owned this model for almost a year and yes you need to print regularly. I forget every so often to print something for a couple of weeks and it can take some work to get it back to printing like you would expect. Having said that I really like this printer. We use it wirelessly and the printing performance is solid (speed is average). It looks almost laser quality and the ink lasts forever.

Ok, just received the items from Staples deal of 50% back in reward. Setting up was easy. Scan quality is awesome. Printed few color and black and white with default setting. The colors are all faded (as mentioned by several reviewer in Amazon). Once mat photo paper is selected, colors came out dark and saturated but it printed much slower. The print heads are removable and this is the BIGGEST advantage this printer has over other.

all eco printers do. it cost couple cents to print one page remember to do it weekly

whats wrong with inkjet lol? i printed couple of thousand prints for 2 years with 2 of the epson printers no real issue from any customers.

Easy to setup a calendar reminder to print a test pattern once a week. Only need to do it if you did not print anything in the past week.

Yep. That's what we do. Calendar event bugs us to print a test page every Sunday afternoon.
