If I were wanting one last upgrade for AM4, I would hold out for a deal on the 5700X3D. If you dont mind Ali Express, they have them for $126. Of course there is no memory kit included...

****EDIT*****Removed Ali Express link as it does appear to be fake. Do not want to lead anyone to getting scammed. Thanks to those that pointed it out. I should have known when I saw the fast delivery time.******************************

No…that is fake.
On aliexpress, you can only buy things shipped from China or those cheap things shipped from U.S. CPUs, cameras and other small stuff, despite saying sold 10 or 50 or 100, are just fake listings that will be canceled about 10 days later automatically. Aliexpress intentionally leave these sellers there to trick you into fake orders so your money can stay in their system for several days - and get a good return when they have significant amount. $180 12900K, $300 14900K… I literally place thousands of dollars of orders on Aliexpress for these ship from U.S. items and never ever got even one shipped out. All either expire, or fake shipping and have to go through the painful refund process.

If you are not an experienced seller/buyer and running a business, don't buy from Aliexpress

If you work more you can

Aliexpress is generally fine for very cheap items. I've got plenty from there. However, you will start running into issues with pricier items ($100). Last item i bought was never shipped and expired. Another item was actually the Fake FedEx tracking number scam. Cheap items I've had little issue with though.

I ended up the 5700x3d buying from szcpu on AliExpress for 133...did a little bit of research on reddit and that one is a good seller. They get cpus in bulk without the packaging and they are meant to be used for pre built cpus that's why they are cheaper.

I havent received mine yet but it has shipped...take that for what you want. I have bought several expensive items from AliExpress before - haven't had any issues as long as you check out the seller.

I bought one from SZCPU a couple months ago... They are legit.

Lots of sellers using their watermark on their listings though.. make sure you're going thru the real SZCPU.

I use a credit card. AliEx doesn't get a cent of my money until later.

Was about to bite until I saw the ram swap. 3200 with slightly tighter timings vs original 3600 with looser timings.

It is too bad that it is not the X3D version. Pass.

You might want to look for 5700x3d on Aliexpress. I bought mine 2-3 months ago from this seller (Sold by SZCPU Store(Trader)
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...pt=glo2usa

Good Luck waiting for the 5800X3D (DC by AMD) to go on sale. This 5700x3d is ideal for budget gaming CPU, with about 5-10% less performance than the 5800X3D.

That seller is 100% a scam, they just opened on Nov. 11th and all their actual reviews are 1 star saying they got scammed.

So the "X3D" far and away better than the "X' line for strictly gaming?

I agree the 5700x3d is the way to go. But I don't agree with aliexpress.

The X3D is a 5700x with stellar gaming ability. But in everything else, it's a 5700x. benchmarks from gamers nexus compared to other top CPUs it's always near the top and sometimes beating the i9 14900k

I would not buy any CPU's from Aliexpress.

With all of the recent issues with Newegg, I would not even buy from them.

If you're lucky to have a Micro Center near you, I would price match there, and buy one in-store and pick up the CPU in person.

Too many scams and fraud now a days.
