This only has 18 LEDs per meter which is on the lower side.

I purchased these in August and initially they worked fine. But after a few weeks the lights stopped working in the middle of the string. Contacted Govee and they sent me a replacement set. But after a few weeks they stopped working in the middle of the string. Not recommended.

What is the difference between these three versions? All seem to be in similar price range for 100ft/66ft. Wondering which one is better .

One thing to keep in mind, if you want to be able to control them from when you are away from them, you want WIFI, some might have Bluetooth only and then have to be within certain range.

I am looking for the same, which one is better?

The only difference I see in first and second links is the Bluetooth. I bought the one in first link, would like the second link if it's any better

I have several of their products, and they're worth it to me. They've all been good, some very good. Are they top end? No. But they make solid products at a decent price when they are "on sale" (which they almost always are). IMHO.
That's what I thought until Amazon recently notified me my Govee heater was recalled due to fire hazards.

$10 vs $100

Bad comparison
I wasn't saying to go with that model - was just sharing cause I thought it was cool.

I just had the same thing with an Atomi from Costco. Got a bigger refund than I paid for it though from Atomi lol

Why is this brand so hyped up?? I see it on tiktok non stop? Worth it??
After buying some no-name RGBIC strips for my kids' room, I went with Govee (on their Black Friday Sale) for outdoor lights. I paid significantly more than the no names, and I don't regret it. The hardware isn't that much different than any others. It's the software and ecosystem that makes the difference. Here's what I like about them:

- They've been around a long time with a ton of products, so their app isn't likely to vanish into the ether.
- The Govee app is polished and very powerful for lighting. Although I plan to convert to WLED in the future, I'm pretty satisfied with the functionality in the Govee app for now.
- The strips are 24v or 36v instead of the 5v or 12v you often get with cheap brands. This dramatically reduces the amperage and decreases or eliminates the need for power injection. The 36v strip lights can go 100ft without power injection and no reduction in brightness all the way to the end of the line.
- Pairing was fast and effortless. They stay connected to my wifi, and the lights reconnect to my phone quickly and reliably when I open the app.
- Synchronizing multiple strands and types of Govee lights is very easy in the Govee app.

Overall, they just work, which is far more than I can say for the alphabet-soup-brand lights that had me pulling my hair out with dropped connections and refusal to respond to changes in the app.

That sucks. But doesn't change my opinion. Recalls happen from every company, and heaters are basically all fire hazards. I had a Vornado heater actually catch on fire, but was never any recall nor notice. It got chucked, and sure I'd be hesitant to buy another Vornado heater. I still have and would buy Vornado fans, though.

I got these for $5 somehow on Black Friday. They worked for 5 hours.
Govee sent a replacement set. I haven't put them up yet. Rethinking if I want WiFi ones or just put these on a smart plug.

I recently got these strip lights from a SD like this. They're nice. But what I really wanted was something that can interface with my Kasa light switches. Then I found out Kasa also has strip lights that has Wi-Fi for just $5 more ($15 on Amazon).

One thing to note is that the Kasa lights have double the density. I was surprised by that.

Depending on your use case, I recommend Kasa over Govee just for the Wi-Fi. Double density LED is a nice thing too.

I thought about putting it on a smart plug too. But when it powers on, the strip light cycle through 3 colors to start. I found that annoying and looked for a different solution. Which landed me on Kasa
