I know ppl hate this model and compared to the 32" it is absolutely inferior, so if size doesn't matter, the 32" is a MUCH better monitor for the same price. But this isn't nearly as bad as online makes it out. When it launched at $1K I think it was very bad for the price. I got one last time it was $400 and assuming I didn't win a panel lotto, not bad for the price. I've had none of the bugs/disconnects/etc. that ppl complained about at launch, so firmware fix maybe?

The first time I tried to go beyond 60hz (since CRT), I got an Acer from FP here and immediately noticed the smearing in gameplay. At the time, I hadn't heard of the UFO test or anything, just knew it was bad. I actually thought mine was a lemon and tried another copy. Just as bad. The smearing on this is more of a "if you focus on it, you'll notice" but it never took me out of the game play like the acer. There is some zone-dimming? ABL? occasional weirdness on websites, but this was always going to be a gaming/media/editing monitor.

So for me, it's big bright 4k120hz gaming experience for a very reasonable price. By all means, flame-on, just scorch me with similarly priced 42"+ monitors. I'm sure a C4 is better, but more than twice the price.

Bought on of these about a week ago, today got email saying. "Est. delivery: There has been an unexpected delay, we will update the new delivery date at the earliest" & "Samsung Online: We're sorry, an item in you order #SAXXXXXXXXX has been delayed. We will update you as soon as possible"

Paid the same price for the 32" over the summer and it's been excellent, but I do understand the 43" model is considered inferior. Still seems like a great price if you need one this size, though.

Thought it was weird that OP says HDMI 2.0, checked and it's indeed HDMI 2.1, FYI.

I bought one of these last time it was $400 as well. My one and only complaint is the way the inputs are handled. I have no idea why they make it so convoluted to just let me choose hdmi1/2/dp. Otherwise it's been a fantastic monitor and I'm very happy with it.

Seems that Samsung is always running deep discounts on VA, slim pickins for IPS

I bought this from Best Buy for 500. Does anyone know if they will price match against this?

Mine is showing up with the discount as $699.99? Am I doing something wrong?
