Bad deal. Been there, done that and got rejected on trade in. Got charged full price and more. They wanted another ~$250 beyond the $269 for used S23.
The return period is 15 days.
The period for acceptance of a trade in is about 3 weeks.
If you try to return once you find out trade in was rejected, you can't. You can't even find a customer service to talk about it.

Make sure to document your trade-in by taking photos/videos of the device's condition before sending it. I traded in a pristine 1st gen iPhone SE with no damage for the S22. Weeks later I get an email stating the trade in was going to be rejected because there was a crack on the back of the phone that wasn't there before I had sent it in. The email also had photos attached showing the supposed damage. I had to contact their chat support and argue that the damage was likely caused by their inspectors or shipment receivers. Chat Support had me upload my photos of the phone's condition, which I'm glad I took beforehand. to prove my case. In the end, they relented and "manually completed" the trade-in, so I didn't end up getting charged the difference.

I've done more than a dozen trade-ins with Samsung over the years and this is the second time this scenario has happened, so ALWAYS take photos/video of your trade-in. $350 credit for a 1st gen iphone SE was a sweet deal despite the nightmare hassle of the rejection.

Anyone got one of these renewed phones from Samsung? Hows the condition? Almost like new or it's used for few months?

S21 battery is so bad lol
It really is. I babied my S21, slow charged and limited to 80%, made sure not to leave it in a hot car, direct sunlight etc. and that thing still got hot and discharged rapidly. My S22 Ultra is pretty much the same but doesn't get hot to the touch at least. 87% battery health according to AccuBattery after 2 years of use.

Great deal for S21, but is Galaxy S23 renewed worth paying $300?
I don't think it is worth it. I paid a brand-new unlocked S23 for around $330 this Spring via AT&T deal.

I wonder what the End Of Life date is for these phones (no more updates). I have an A52 5G which is working great, but going to be unsupported in Oct '25 and am thinking ahead. Stupid planned obsolescence!

No. I know people don't love jumping through Google Fi hoops, but I suspect we'll be seeing 256GB S25 for ~$350 + around $100 in Fi fees in about a month.
