I got one last year except mine came with a 2.0AH battery. I don't know what role this thing fits in exactly. It's not as maneuverable as a stick vac. You can't pull the handle down super far to get under beds/tables or anything. It's not as powerful as a regular plug-in/stand-up vac. But if you flip things around... it's more maneuverable than a regular vac and better at picking up than stick vacs at this price point.
It's great on flat floor/carpet, but you can't do anything else with it. No attachments or anything. If you have small flat areas and the 4AH battery lets you vacuum the whole thing, this would be a great replacement over lugging around a full-size stand up vac. If you just need it a quick run through the kitchen and some quick touch-ups, also good.
I kinda wish I got a regular stick with attachments and more flexible.

Looks like it would be perfect to vacuum carpeted stairs. (must resist yet another battery type…arg!)
This doesn't excel at carpeted stairs imo. The brush stops if you have the handle in the fully upright/locked position. I think that's fairly common with vacuums and I don't understand why.
You need to go side-to-side on each stair. You do the left-half of the stair, making sure not to let the handle lock perpendicular to the bottom piece (or the brush roll stops). Then spin it around so you can do the right half of the stair.
Does anyone who bought from the earlier FP deal want to provide a review?

How about going directly at it? Perpendicular to the stairs?
I have two of them one for the house and one for the RV and they work awesome for hardwood, acceptable for light rugs or carpet but wouldn't buy it if carpet is your primary. My comparison is the Hoover linx vac which we had several for the same purposes and this is much better. 4ah battery lasts a long time so plenty for a large house with first floor hardwood. Much heavier duty feeling than the lynx and the best thing about it is the brush roller easily comes out from the side and you can cut hair off of it easily with a built-in groove to guide your knife on for cutting hair off and cleaning. Large refuse container on it too, more than most.
Only complaint is I wish the controls were in the handle and not on the base, but that's minor. Also wish it was brushless for a little bit more power on the carpet but if you want brushless you have to go to the Hart 20v version with the vacuum in the handle and the weight of that unit is too high if you ask me... I bought one and then returned it immediately as this is much better. This is the best price I've seen, going to pick up another as our original one is getting pretty wore
This looks like the Hoover ONEPWR Evolve at less than half the cost !!!
Yep, I was going to say the same thing. My wife loves her ONEPWR Evolve Pet Elite. I'm buying this to see if it's close enough so we can have one upstairs and the other downstairs without paying $200+ for another one.

I have tried it that way and I don't think it works much better. The bottom part with the spinning brush is pretty floppy once you unclick it from the handle. So you can hold the neck of the handle with one hand and grab the base near the wheels with your other hand and go front-to-back(?) instead of side-to-side. It's hard to keep it level so the brush doesn't tilt up or down.
You can make it work ok either way, it's just when someone specifically mentioned stairs that's probably the biggest downside to me.
I purchased this from Walmart online on Black Friday.. have used it multiple times, id say probably 14-15 times easily for a total time of roughly 1 hour-1.5 hours. Battery still at 50% and the vacuum itself has been great for the price point. We love it and have bought a 2nd for the extra battery.. hope this helps.
It's a lot closer to our corded vacuum in suction power than the stick vacuums I've tried. The only thing it bogs down on and won't clean is deep-pile carpet. We have a bath mat it won't vacuum, but everything else it cleans almost as well. You do have to slow down a little bit on carpet, compared to a corded vacuum.
If you have a big house and it's all carpet, I'd probably pass. If your house is smaller or you have a lot of area rugs over flooring, it's great. Having less power means it doesn't always suck the edge of the rug into the roller.
The stick tilts side to side as well as up and down, so it's easy to get underneath the overhanging edge of kitchen cabinets and sofas. Yet it still locks vertically when you're done. As mentioned, you can pop the roller out the side to clean hair and string out of it. On the downside, there are no attachments, so it doesn't fully substitute for a corded vacuum cleaner.
It lasts a LONG time on the included 4.0aH battery, which has a charge meter built into it so you can tell whether you need to charge it or not. Given what a charger and those bigger battery packs cost, the vacuum itself is nearly free.
Hope this helps anyone still on the fence!

Thanks to other SD posts over the years Hart has become my main 20v tool/battery/charger stock.
