It's better to buy it from straight talk website directly since you could get better cashback (12% currently) from some cash back site. Also some chase card give 25% cashback for straight talk (capped at 15).

That can bring down the effective price to 204. (You still have to pay tax on 249 though)

Adding the link to the previous thread.
A bit more than the previous deal after taxes+fees but similar overall.
I purchased it last time and consensus was that you need to purchase the silver plan at minimum to get this price. Only need to buy one month of service. Wait another 30 days (60 days total) then the phone will be carrier unlocked.

It's not $50 higher than BF deal.
It's $40 higher than BF deal since this only needs $35 plan but the BF deal needs $45 plan.

Bought two with intention to rebrand onto Tracfone since I have existing lines on TF but unsuccessful rebrand/activation with phone/chat reps Frown Any suggestions or will I have to fork out another 25-35 to buy a straight talk plan
I was able rebrand this Iphone 13 to TF over the telephone. Had to buy the $15 plan for 1 month. She wouldn't let me do the $10 Auto-Refill.

I just got it rebranded on TF. Initially the CSR on chat said it's not in their system and to check any sim that came with the phone. I told it's not locked to any other carrier as I opened the box few mins back. Also I didn't find any sim inside. So, csr insisted on getting a TF sim from Walmart for $0.99 and then to contact them.

I had an unused sim but it was tagged to a flip phone. She was able to unlink the sim from flip phone and tag it to the ST phone. Works perfectly fine after that.

Only loss was that the flip phone had a service of 1 yrs and I lost that.

CSR asked me to get a TF sim from Walmart and then contact them to link the TF sim to new phone*

I purchased mine from straighttalk.com with the $35 plan. The package only had the device in it. Was I supposed to receive a $35 card as well? Or, is it already linked to the plan?

plan is applied when phone is activated. They stopped using separate plan cards years ago.

I had to call customer service last time when this occurred. Their web portal asked me to purchase a plan when attempted to activate the phone using its IEMI and installed SIM card number.

For iPhone, I think they usually attach a small envelope which has sim card inside on the box of phone.

You're right, it's android that has sim inside. Too many ST threads 😀
(Glad I got one 2 months ago for $199 + plan, too bad they raised the sale price)

Ordered yesterday and got the phone delivered today.

The phone does not pass the compatibility check at Tracfone. I ended up activing the phone with Straight Talk for $35 plus taxes and fees. Just need to follow the instructions included with the phone.

These things dont hold a charge!Compared to older and newer models - these are very bad in retaining charge. Is that a bad unit I got? Or straight talk units are like that typically?
You must gotten a bad one. Mine pair from Black Friday are 100% and unlock this week. Better return and get another or just return
