its the better phone, I picked up the deal last night. I just came from the Moto g power on the prev deal, cracked the screen unfortunately. Screen was nice and big, but the bogus OS wasnt capable of getting a popular app? That wont happen with samsung

I got one for $39 at Walmart, I didn't know this phone was gonna be that awesome for the price, 2 more weeks to get it unlocked. I will let everyone knows if it work.
For anyone thinking that the Straight Talk deal is better: be aware that many of the Straight Talk/Tracfone variants released in the last couple of years are not whitelisted for use on the AT&T network after unlocking. (Some are: but it's not save to assume it will be.) The factory unlocked version certainly will be whitelisted for AT&T.

Many ST users have unlocked one of these in the past 6 months, there's no reason why it wouldn't work. It's not a big deal to unlock as long as you don't need it for 60 days, much cheaper to do it that way.

Nope, mine unlocked on their own around 60-62 days after activation. Just activate the 1 month that's included and make sure you turn off Auto Pay in your ST acct.
