Corn Starch, Chili Pepper, Maltodextrin, Salt, Spice, Onion Powder. Contains 2% or less of: Vegetable Oil (canola, high oleic soybean and/or sunflower oil), Silicon Dioxide (anticaking agent), Natural Flavor, Modified Corn Starch.

vs McCormick
Spices (Including Chili Pepper, Paprika, Oregano), Corn Starch, Salt, Onion and Garlic.

10 packs for a lifetime? That makes me sad.

Thanks, I'll avoid the premium, though I've never seen it. I only have regular and low sodium McCormick and some house brands currently in my kitchen.
I have only really seen the premium in the larger plastic container. It pops up on a deal on here pretty regularly. Just crazy that the premium has a lot more corn starch than the regular.

EDIT:
I was mistaken with corn starch in the premium. It is actually CORN MEAL as the #1 ingredient... which is way worse!

I have no idea why so many online list corn starch as #1 on this packet. I just checked one in the kitchen and mine has chili power at the top. Weird.

Maybe it's been reformulated.

Today, at the grocery store, one more data point:

Looks like they decided to change the recipe without letting anyone know. Maybe that is why they are $0.3x each on sale.

I believe I figured it out. Although it did not contain gluten, the one with chili pepper as #1 did not state it was gluten free. The newer one, with corn starch as #1, states GLUTEN FREE on the front. I don't see why they would need to change the balance to label it GF, but it looks like they did. One thing to consider, we do not know what the % of the top two were before or after the change. Was is like 50.1% to 49.9% and now it is flipped, or was it a major change. Anyway, if you can get MC ORIGINAL for close to the same price, it may be better quality,
