That is the online line price. There is another box that says in-store clearance.

Which is exactly why I said home use. How often is your average homeowner going to use a 1/2 impact wrench lol.
No need to get your panties in a bunch. Other people read the comments as well, and my point was to clarify a bit further for those (other than you) following this thread.

Is this good enough to remove lug nuts on my car? I need this to replace my brakes and rotors. Thanks.

Mine doesn't always be able to remove lug nuts especially when the wheels were put on from dealer. Always fully charged but still doesn't work on all.

I have this exact one and it is not strong enough to take the lugs off my Corolla or Van. I have to use a breaker bar to break it loose and then I use this to finish off the job.

Bought this years ago on Black Friday, it's not bad but you do run into some things it won't budge. I ended up getting the stronger 1/2", and the 1/4" impact to go along with it...

When I click in "Get Deal at Home Depot" it takes me to a "Special Buy" of $119. I tried over 30 stores in the Dallas area, all the same. Is there another way to see a clearance or online price of $79? I really like the PBLIW01K1 model, it lists 1175 ft/lbs of break away torque and comes with a charger and 4 A/hr battery. It lists now as a special buy for $179. I've looked at a number of impact wrenches on Amazon and so many under perform in reviews related to removing lug nuts. In actual posted benchmarks the Dewalt appears to be the king of torque but out of my price range, and Ryobi was listed as a budget alternative. If I could get the $79 deal i'd pull the trigger (no pun intended). At $119 I'm debating spending more for the PBLIW0K1 with 1175 ft/lbs of torque. My neighbor spent half a day trying to remove a bolt on his expedidtion breaking sockets with a cheater bar, would of been cool to hand him a Ryobi that out performed his air impact and removed what the cheater bar could not.

I'm surprised to see someone recommend Hyper Tough over Ryobi when it comes to power tools.

I like Hyper Tough. I have several of their hand tools, tool adjacent items and I really like their modular tool box system. However, I don't think I would ever buy one of their power tools.

Everything I've seen says low quality and cheap. I looked at buying one of their drills to use for cleaning the bathroom (the little sponge things you can chuck), and I decided against it even though it was only $30. The batteries/chargers seem crappy too.

Plus, if you go with Ryobi, you're buying into a system that probably has whatever tool you'll need for the foreseeable future. They often have sales. And I believe their batteries are very highly rated.

I'm surprised folks recommend Ryobi over Rigid. Both made by TTI along with Milwaukee. However, Rigid comes with a lifetime service agreement, provided you register within 90 days and reregister every replacement item you receive after a claim, including batteries. It's a much better "warranty". Buy once, never have to purchase replacement tool or battery again.

That's true too. I personally went with ryobi just because they have more deals and more of a variety of tools. I also know I'm not going to overwork my power tools though, and I take good care of the batteries.

I love lifetime warranties though. Husky is very serious about their hand tool warranty, and harbor freight does not fuss about theirs.

I also wasn't trying to sound like a jerk, I was just genuinely surprised.

I've beat the shit out of some cheapo hyper tough power tools and they're still up for it. The batteries also had quality samsung cells which was a surprise. Not sure if they still do

I'm not saying the batteries or tools will wear out anytime soon. However, all li-ion batteries will eventually need replacing, regardless of how one uses them. Why pay for something again, especially a battery, when you have lifetime free replacement battery "warranty" options.

Find a store that has it in stock, and click on "See In-Store Clearance Price".

They run this kit on Black Friday a lot. I bought it a few years ago and it's perfectly acceptable. It's about the size of a Ryobi 18v drill.

I sold it and bought the big Ryobi impact (PBLIW01B) and a Milwaukee M12 Stubby (Best power tool in existence, 2563-20).

RYOBI is a perfectly fine system to use. At $80 with a battery, you'll be super happy.

Get an impact socket set from Harbor Freight that has your lug nut size and keep this thing in your trunk. It'll be handy one day. As a reminder, check the air in your spare tire.

Also consider the RYOBI PCL001B tire inflator, uses the same battery.

Dad… is that… you??
