these are they taste good. They don't go bad. You get more calories with the tomato soup One as it's heavy in cream. I don't know if they clearance them a lot. I got them at grocery outlet.

Our local Dollar Tree has these for $1.25 each. Might check the ones in your area...it's a decent soup and you can doctor it up with some seasonings...tobasco for some kick...great with a grilled cheese or just as a "side" with a chicken sandwich on a ciabatta roll.

Loaded with sugar

I added a ton of salt to make this taste less sweet.

They have fancy packaging and use buzz words like Organic or whatever but this stuff isn't great.

I don't know about this cartoon of red juice but I've been pretty happy with Pacific Foods' canned soups/stews. They seem to be thicker and less brothy than both Campbell's and Progressos. But Pacific are also like $3+ a can.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank PeteyTheStriker

In for a few, I would have bought way more if they just did a normal BOGO.... I dont need a ton of tomato soup.

High sodium on all of them
Lets get real here, high sodium is the name of the game when it comes to soups, so you wont find soup cans with less than 300grams of sodium for just about any soup unless its primarily water. That being said the sodium count in both of these normal and low sodium options is still better than other brands that the low sodium can be over 600grams and 1000+ grams in their normal soups.

While I do agree that it could do without the added sugar, tomatoes in general depending on variety can be really sweet which is why just about any organic soup before the added portion can be 10grams to 20grams, so this would be right around average. If you look at Annies organics soups its way worse. If you want something organic with less sugar, look up the Imagine line on Amazon I believe its right at 9grams for theirs.

Seriously dude or duddette, you are comparing a BROTH (NOT A SOUP) which is primarily water with some flavoring to be used as a base, to a full fledged soup. Not to mention tomato the main one discussed here is made primarily from tomato paste, so the two are not anywhere near comparable.

Slick deal.
Do note that you have to use the "Benefit Item" filter to get the free item. I missed that step initially due to being to lazy to read the instructions. I didn't have the butternut squash as a benefit item option, which was disappointing as it seemed worth trying. But, the spicy garden tomato will find a good home - my belly.

i guess you've never had tomato soup before. every chef adds a touch of sugar to balance out the acidity. why do you think sugar is added to pasta sauce?

I bought a pack of (organic) roasted pepper tomato soup variety when it was listed here for $1.xx on Amazon weeks ago. It was so delicious and found them at whole foods but very expensive and didn't go for it. Then I saw them at DT in my area and grabbed a few and then more. I wondered why they were at DT and checked the bestbuy date and they expire in May of this year. Bought quite a few of them anyway because they are so delicious.
