Anyone have experience if this works with Verizon's $20 discount on hotspot plans? Even though my current Netgear LBR20 is compatible with Verizon's hotspot network, their systems don't recognize the device itself as a mobile router and doesn't give the discount.

I picked up one of these and worked pretty seamlessly with the $10/mo 30GB T-Mobile plan - https://tmo.report/2023/12/this-s...-t-mobile/

It even has a Home Assistant integration that allows you to monitor data usage + receive incoming text messages -

https://www.home-assistant.io/int...tgear_lte/

(Doesn't seem to support sending messages)

If I activated my T-mobile 30Gb for $10 with the Franklin hotspot, do you know if I can just pop the SIM card into this?

I'm not 100% sure, since I had a brand new line, but I'm pretty sure it should work?

Probably one of the best times to have prepaid cellular as they get priority

Thanks. I like the compactness of the Franklin, but being able to tether via ethernet is appealing for remote work. I can see myself swapping back and forth too.
