PSA: Be careful if you're scheduled to pickup on Friday. The activation timer may starts on Friday but the CS aren't availble on weekends, which means you only have whatever hours left on Friday to attempt cancelling the line.

Nothing to add about this deal, but I got this phone a couple months ago and I have to say it's the best phone I've ever used. My wife got a Iphone 16 pro max and the camera on the Pixel 9 pro XL puts it to shame - especially when zoomed in. And the battery is usually around 40% when I go to bed at night after heavy use all day.

So if you're on the fence about this phone, don't be - you'll love it!

You will do that during the ordering process. For a new account you will need to port a throwaway number( you can get one for cheap from tello/Google voice) if you want to do this all online, otherwise you will have to go to store.

So my pickup date on the local Bestbuy is March 21st. So If I order today, they won't activate until March 21st - is that correct? And the email won't come from AT&T until March 21st?

The reason I ask is that if AT&T creates my accont after order today or the service it activated, it will be almost 5 days and they won't waive Activation fees. Thanks!

I read through the other thread. What is the optimal route to this right? In store or online? I also got Pixel 7 Pro new/sealed that I can trade in, They said $325 which is $100 lower than what I paid. Should I not use the trade-in for this to make the cancellation not complicated?

So if I understand the wiki. If I have ATT already.

1. I must Port a number for a new line. DON'T use my own primary line to do this.
2. Once shipped, call and cancel. Do within 3 days to get $35 activation fee refunded
3. Verify cancelled and not charged
4. Use phone which is unlocked?

Does this sound right ?
