PSA: Be careful if you're scheduled to pickup on Friday. The activation timer may starts on Friday but the CS aren't availble on weekends, which means you only have whatever hours left on Friday to attempt cancelling the line.

Nothing to add about this deal, but I got this phone a couple months ago and I have to say it's the best phone I've ever used. My wife got a Iphone 16 pro max and the camera on the Pixel 9 pro XL puts it to shame - especially when zoomed in. And the battery is usually around 40% when I go to bed at night after heavy use all day.

So if you're on the fence about this phone, don't be - you'll love it!

Nope, you can't cancel a line which is not activated. So the phone activation on a line and line activation is different. The line is activated when the phone ships/picked up. The phone is activated on the new line when you boot it up with the provided SIM. You can forgo the phone activation step but you do need to do the first (BB does that for you) before cancelling.

My worry is about my phone number . I only have one phone number, which I can enter during the check out process online. I want to continue using the number with my current provider Mint and not port that into AT&T. If I cancel AT&T account, will my number still be with Mint?

You are better of getting a throwaway number from Google voice/tello etc and port that in. You don't want your primary number to be in porting limbo.

Edit: Or get a new number altogether by doing this in store.
