Can I put my Google Fi SIM into the phone in the parking lot after walking out.
If I have to pay the $30 activation fee, that's fine.
Now I'm rocking a Pixel 9 256GB, a Pixel Pro XL 128GB, and a S25 Ultra 512GB. Let's go! LOL
I had 128 GB iPhone 13 from metro deal -$268 paid then
Online Best Buy shows everything out of stock for 250 miles
Still played my card drove 40 mins to nearest one. Stood outside till 11.00 as store was closed. Was the first person at the mobile booth. Store employee came out and asked if I was for there for pixel deal. Said Yes with a smile and he said I only have 1 last one.
Then proceeded for the deal which he couldn't get to work for the longest time. It was showing him the deal but he couldn't apply it to the cart. He called sup who said call corporate and they gave him a code to apply - I overheard it was Google with G caps.
So we continued the checkout process and I kept telling him I needed to trade in to get the value as showing online. He was baffled cause it wasn't working for him and said it never happened before.
He said for the trade in - he will give you $200 BB gc plus I'll apply the promo deal with the next before you wipe the phone. The whole time he kept pointing out that while this is not a locked in contract you still can own credits to Verizon if you cancel after 3 days. Within3 days you can come back and get a full refund on what you paid today by no trade-in phone will be returned. So you'll lose the phone.
I persisted since I was reading here that you can cancel easily.
And after 1 hr of bouncing from page to page he was told he has to take my finger print for trade in. I agreed. He scans to BBgc for $200 and the goes to printer to get another coupon I apply to cart for—- $250 .. he said you're lucky. System gave you more. so I got $450 for trade in. So we proceeded once more this time with me signing a bunch of things and getting a New Verizon line and number.
I reminded him that I need no contract/monthly bill credits etc and he confirmed this is unlocked phone. The line is charged.
He voided the SIM card charge after I complained.
So in the end I traded my 13 128 gb and walked out with XL pro 128 gb + $50 BB gc
Fantastic deal if I am able to cancel Verizon.

1. You might be received one mail from Verizon saying your email address was updated once you placed the order. At the bottom of the mail, you can see one line with last 8 or 9 digit account number and not full number.
2. After you picked up your device, put VZ sim to another unlocked device and wait for few seconds. Immediately call to your another number to see your new number or use your port in number. I used new number.
3. Create new account in VZ and link new mobile line. Here you need to enter new VZ number and PIN.
4. Wait for few minutes and put the T-M or non VZ SIM to pixel 9 and check the connection.
5. Now chat with VZ rep and request for new account cancellation. If rep is not ready to cancel, disconnect that chat and try after few minutes.
6. After cancellation, your dashboard shows disconnected.
