They need an easy way to check their "any participating Great Clips salons". Many did not participate, just saying...

I just received my coupon. Took about 30 minutes. It's the same six digit code coupon as usual. The coupon expires on April 11.

The Great Clips around me are all about $20. So this is a good deal. Makes it half price before tip.

Okay genius, the 'current local coupon' for one location in my city is for a $10.00 haircut... This coupon makes it $1 cheaper, and its valid a week longer too.
"$19 here, so one dollar less than the current local coupon!"

Okay, that clarified it. It was just bad shorthand written English.

"$19 here,..." would imply that was the cost of the haircut wherever you are.

"...so one dollar less than the current local coupon.."

Well, actually, I now I think that would have meant the current local coupon was for $20 off. You see how it makes like no sense???

But originally, I thought the local coupon was THIS coupon that the thread was written about.
This is why it is so subjective when throwing fragments around and short handing posts. Not everyone is going to know what you are writing about.

Nothing about this $10 off coupon indicates it's a 'local coupon' at all... It's a national coupon, literally advertised on their website, and ymmv if the local locations accept it or not.

Kind of like some Subways that won't accept the mailed out coupons in person, but if you order via the app at the same location with the coupon code, it works just fine... So it's just the local stores employees being told not to accept coupons.

Of course. No, I thought your post was just you being you.
"$19 here, so one dollar less than the current local coupon.."
You were basically telling the audience (people looking at your comment) that you were basically getting a free haircut.
So would you care to use this deal of $10 off? No. You would be using a coupon where $19 is one $ less than the current local coupon.
Get it?

Or maybe just do not abuse the deal and get your one coupon?
Look at the 6 digit coupon code - if same as previous coupon, then great clips some ip/cookie stuff to generate the same coupon. I did things in incognito mode and that generated different coupons. It worked in the store too in the previous coupon deal.

they dont have to give you any $ off if they can just deny your coupon.
i know they can. last time i tried to use a coupon they told me they are not participating in the program(for the discount coupon) but gave me a smaller discount off the regular price. better than nothing. regardless ive paid the regular amount since i go there for my haircuts

ofcourse they can but they dont have to. it depends on how much they like you
not because they denied the coupon and gave you some $ off in exchange. they just threw you a bone.

All right. You have me convinced to get another one of these. Now I just have to get my hair to grow within the next three weeks.

So, tell the barberess/barber upfront that if they can make the coupon work, they'll receive 50% of the coupon value as tip woot

That is the same as the expected tip on non-coupon price in several geographical areas.

I distribute the hair growing - let my wife and son grow their hair in this three week period. So then I will overall use the deal thrice.

I believe that Gmail has a trick where it ignores dots. So you could do: [email protected] and [email protected] and you will get the coupon to the same account.

That is what I do with any coupon. If I can get a discount, I pass the savings onto the individual who cuts my hair. I have even told them this when they bill me and in front of other customers. I would rather the money go to them anyway because they are doing the labor.
Today, I ended up saving $10 off $18. 20% off $18 would have been a rounded $4. I COULD HAVE given them $9, which would have cost me $17 total. I just did not have that much cash on me and I was not willing to break a $10 or $20 bill.
