It is 60 days from activation. Once you get the phone activate it and after that send text to 611611 asking "unlock" it should come back with date. Did iphone 13 in Nov last year.

Wow that's a big change with the April 1 policy.
I'm set to fully unlock according to the original policy in 4 days, I'll check back in then.
Let us know. thanks.

Before you connect to another phone's hotspot, was your Power connected to Wi-Fi?

If yes, what is your working phone's provider?
Moto G (ST phone) was connected to wifi. My working phone and the hotspot I used is on another Verizon MVNO, MobileX. Good luck!!

I bought this phone in Feb, well before the new April 1 unlock policy. Today (4/8) is day 61 since I activated. I paid for 1 month service, that's all. The phone did not unlock automatically. I put a call into the unlocking department and was told my phone is eligible to unlock; I needed to power it off/on and "it may take a couple of hours" which I was skeptical of. However I did do the power on/off--still locked (dialed #TFUNLOCK#). I tried something I read on Reddit, though: "Use your phone's hotspot and connect the Moto Power to the hotspot. Keep connected and restart and reconnect.
My phone is unlocked now." and that worked! Don't know if it was just coincidence because of my earlier call OR if that actually did something, but can report that at least in my case, unlocking was not automatic nor straightforward.

I'm in the same boat. My 60 days are up in about 5 days. Fingers crossed.

* I texted UNLOCK to 611611 recently just to see the reply and as others noted got directed to their unlock website.
** If the unlock fails I guess I'll reactivate with the cheapest plan and HOPE that 60 non-consecutive days qualifies.

Look at the unlocking policy, as of April 1st, we need 60 days of paid service to unlock. Just like total wireless
According to some forensic analysis on HoFo, TF backdated the policy and it was only just posted a couple days ago. Frown Not that it matters much, I guess.

I had purchased this motorola phone on Feb 7, was only active for 30 days. Was hoping they'd unlock it now but since the policy change they won't unlock unless I activate again for 30 days. Would've been nice to know before buying.

No one knew.
Verizon didn't tell people the policy was changing.

You are saying your phone won't unlock on its own and you contacted CS and this is what they told you? You activated before Apr 1st and they still require 60 days of service? This is borderline scam.

On the other hand, they tell you if you reactivate for 30 days, they will unlock? I suppose you can reactivate to their $35/mo plan.

Yes. Pay the one month, get the free phone. Let the one month of service expire (no autopay) wait another month and then unlock.
NO 2ND MONYH active on any plan needed to UNLOCK? Just let it sit in a drawer the 2nd month and after 60 days it will be unlocked?

Didn't know the new unlock policy, bought and activated last week. Question: without unlock, can I use this device with TracFone sim? I knew TracFone sim combined with original phone, but what if I move plan to TracFone 99c sim, and use that sim in this locked ST g power?

I have 2 Moto G Power phones. One purchased Mar 25th and one after Apr 1st.
Are both subject to the new 60 day policy? Does it have to be 60 days contiguous active?
