Can someone explain to me why this is a good deal? 99 Wh for $90? $0.91 per Wh, and doesn't even have an inverter.

That's like telling someone that's telling their camper trailer that they're getting worse fuel mileage. Of course an inverter has overhead but you only turn it on when you want to use it.
Many electronics only need USB C now so you save weight too and cost. do you know how small this is it's 0.1 kwh

Many cars only use electricity now so I guess you don't need gasoline either. Of course I know what the capacity is.

They don't take gas if they're electric

Some cars do like the Chevy volt but I think you're still missing the point. We're all aware there's no inverter but some people want an inverter on a power station so if they need it they have it. It doesn't "waste" electricity unless you turn it on. And if you think you're saving money you should look at the other hundreds of comparable sized power banks that are a fraction of the size and cost on Amazon. They also don't have an inverter.

I have one of these, and I quite like it. I have a very power-hungry gaming laptop. If I turn off some cores, then I can get the power draw to under 100 watts, and this box will help keep it going for a couple more hours. Overall, I think that it is great, EXCEPT for the shape. It is a literal brick. I would have preferred something more the shape of a hardback book for easier storage in a laptop bag. There is also no handle to easily grab on to. But for functionality, it gets 10/10.

i still have my first jackery from 6 years ago still working, the power inverter on these are better than your usual brands. the problem is they've yet to move onto Lifepo4, these use LIPO batteries.

I have this and I use it a lot. It's small and has pass through charging. It's in a strange class of its own, bigger than your standard battery pack but then smaller than something like a EcoFlow river 3. I got the dune color too and I think it looks nice. Favorite battery of any type other than my EcoFlow 3 Plus. The fact too you can charge it with a usbc solar panel is also pretty cool as I have a few of the EcoFlow ones, don't need any extra adapter or plug.

Out of date info, by about a year now.

https://insideevs.com/news/731210...udy-finds/ [insideevs.com]

Study conclusively confirmed LFP is dramatically different than traditional Lithium Ion/Polymer chemistry.

The least wear occurred on LFP / LiFePO4 batteries when they were cycled at 1-25% SoC.

What I posted came from that Tesla-funded study.

You are correct that you have difficulty *measuring* SoC in the 25-75% range. But that does not translate to aging/wear.

Bottom line: You totally can keep an LFP held at 40/60/80 percent charge. It will still greatly outpace traditonal Li-ion in longevity. But don't run it down to absolute zero, and don't fully charge it except rarely to recalibrate the SoC monitor. (Tesla recommends weekly, Ford monthly - but this is out of necessity as EVs making even slight range miscalculation often leads to a bad outcome).
Cycling any battery chemistry between 1-25% SoC is going to damage it more than cycling between 40-65% SoC. Even though you are still getting 25% of capacity out of it. It's more apparent in Lithium-based cells as it accelerates lithium plating and dendrite formation. Aka loss of capacity, aka degradation.

Do that on Lead Acid, and you will have one dead battery in a couple of days.

Any *other battery type.

FTFY. Read the study. Or watch Engineerign Explained YouTube linked in the article.

Literally both explain in plain English these new revelations about LFP.

Its not really, other then having high usb c output maybe. I bought 2 20kmah for $20 each that i use for flying. Defiantly a premium here, i like the new color though.
The use case for something like this is for someone that might want to charge multiple devices, but doesn't necessarily need something bigger with an inverter. The USB C output goes up to 100 watts, so you could also use it to power a laptop.
