The long weird sounding company name isn't like a fake company or anything… it is just the Chinese name converted into "American sounding syllables" (called "pinyin") so when you say that company name you are saying the company name in Chinese which is 深圳市帕克科技有限公司
So it's:

深圳市 (shen zhen shi) – Shenzhen City
帕克 (pa ke) – Parker (a last name)
科技 (ke ji) – Technology
有限公司 (you xian gong si) – Limited Company (LLC)

So the company would be Shenzhen-Parker Technology LLC… but traditionally these companies use pinyin instead of translations because if you were on the phone and said "Shenzhen Parker", nobody would know what you were talking about, but if you said "shen zhen shi pa ke ke…", you'd be literally speaking Chinese and a Chinese speaker would understand you.

Customers say
Customers find these AA batteries offer good value and heavy-duty construction that lasts longer than Eneloops. The functionality is positive, with customers noting they work well and maintain good performance over time. The battery life receives mixed feedback - while some say they last longer than regular AA batteries, others report they don't hold their charge. The charge speed and length are also mixed aspects, with some customers reporting fast charging while others say it takes a full day, and while contents fit the box perfectly, some find them impossible to use in devices. The capacity receives negative feedback, with customers noting they're only capable of 2100mAh.

these sound like rebadges which is why they don't fit. They rebadge when something gets a bad name. so I wouldn't waste your money on them
$5.99 for 16-pack AAA is a good deal regardless of whether or not they are as good as eneloops. Great for those kids toys or obscure remote controller where you don't wanna lose an eneloop. You guys all nitpick and expect too much from a $6 pack of batteries 🤣

36¢/AAA seems a little bit too good to be true, right? I signed up for S&S giving me weeks to cancel if these are trash

eta: ordered the AA at 51¢/each too, tell me if I should cancel! 😂

1100mah AAA, 2800mah/AA

Looks like they have a ton of good reviews on amazon... But they are getting good at faking them.

Can never have too many junk batteries for the cheap, not-well-waterproofed Halloween and Christmas outdoor lighting that I don't even want to put Amazon Basics in, nevermind the Eneloops.

The last 2 off-brand sets were fine. Usually the problem with the cheap ones is the discharge rate. You can't leave them in a drawer for a month, they'll be mostly dead, but if you charge them up on December 1 you will probably only have to recharge them one more time to keep all the outdoor lighting going.. Also good for LED candles that might low-drain the batteries too far and damage them.

i don't expect them to be as good as eneloops, but i also don't want to spend ANY amount of money on e-waste that's destined for a landfill

If you are and to use these batteries more than twice, you've already gone ahead of using one-time use batteries.
Sure, these won't be as good as Eneloops, but if you are able to recharge and use them even a few dozen times, you've already done the world a solid, don't you think ?
