Elitism of this nature will empty your pockets unnecessarily quick. AM4 is still very relevant. Maybe no reason for you to buy but there are 8 billion other people on this planet who aren't you.
Just because it isn't the latest doesn't mean it's garbage -- this is still a powerful processor
Great deal. If you are on AM4 and still on 1 or 3 series I'd jump on this.

They are really trying to move these. I ordered one at $130 and the date stamped on the CPU is 2020.

I remember when I purchased my original 5800X for around $320 in 2021 during COVID. Being that the 5800XT is supposed to be a more optimized version of the 5800X, I might just pull the trigger on this CPU since I plan to build another PC for my brother sometime in the future and use that 5800X in it as a hand me down.

Matches the lowest price from Feb. wonder if they will ever clear inventory on these
Time to get one! It's a great deal for a solid build. I am concerned about MS Windows support in later years.

5xxx cpu are known to be the most reliable of modern consumer cpu. Avoid x3d for reliability - it's not proven yer

Decided to upgrade from a 2600x on the oldest PC in the house. Should be a decent upgrade, for sure.
I did the same upgrade. I saw much improvement and have no need to upgrade for a while.

Thanks for letting me know. I was able to pick up an Intel Arc B580 for retail as well ($250). I am upgrading from an AMD RX 580. It should be a pretty great upgrade, too.

Built my pc at the launch of the Ryzen chips back in 2017. I just upgraded to this from a 1700x and I'm also running a 1080ti. Huge performance upgrade, best $129 Ive spent. I didn't take them serious when they said AM4 was a serious chipset with such a long lifespan. This makes me want to upgrade to an AM5 now lol

Sure. But you also have to buy a new motherboard and memory. Much more expensive than a CPU upgrade.

Coming from 1700X. Bought two 5800XT chips for B350 boards that updated to Windows 11. Going to skip right over AM5 and get in to AM6 at some point. Glad I left Intel and their shenanigans.
