These are fine if you're a diy person who won't do anything harder than soft wood. I wore out the small ones drilling aluminum gutters and wore out the big ones drilling holes for a wooden bench.

Yeah these don't cut metal that great, avoid if that's what you're trying to do. Best bits for metal I've tried are the Cobalt bits from Harbor Freight. The 135 split point set is surprisingly awesome. I've tried quite a few. I rounded a bolt on my car and desperately needed to drill into it so I back it out. All the others I tried seemed like I was getting nowhere with them. Soon as I got those Cobalts In there, I saw stringy metal pieces coming out, took only a couple mins with them bits. This was after spending like a couple hundred on bits that did nothing.
Here's the bits I got. The price is worth it for what it does. I spent more on a Dewalt set that was also Cobalt or Titanium, that did nothing to the metal.

Don't forget the cutting oil if you're drilling metal, it helps prevent your bits from dulling.

I bought this cheap set to keep in the garage for whatever, but I may have to keep that set you linked in mind for next time they offer a XX% off whatever coupon... *hmmm*

Have gone through several of these sets over the years and have lots of dull one. Do affordable/cheap bit sharpeners work? Have sharpened some with hand file and it helped but far from like new.

never tried these, but with aluminum you want raw high speed steel for best results. The coatings stick to aluminum

Thanks - bought for both sides of the size range - because it includes a 1/2" bit, which many small sets do not include, and for the smallest sizes, which are broken/missing from my other small sets.
