At this point I'm more worried about murica.
Our own govt is more of a threat than the Chinese at this point. I'd be far more worried about the US govt having backdoors to our files.
These were $499.99 less $100.00 = $399.99 a few months ago so this is $50 lower.

I should have mentioned that you'd pay sales tax on the $420 price. And I'm not sure if you get 20% cash back on the amount with or without sales tax.

Many jump the gun and forget tax. Its on the 420 amount, not after tax, so I'll probably just go with Costco even though it's a tad more after tax. Longer return period.

My local stores show the same price. You can check warehouse inventory and pricing in the app.

Spend a little more and go Ubiquiti. I tossed all my TP-Link because of the Chinese back door.

So many people here act like they are some kind of big shot illegal drug or arms dealer who have tons of incriminating evidence on their computer. Or that they are some kind of nuclear arms researcher who for some reason has top secret info on their personal devices. Odds are the US gov, Chinese gov, or any other gov does not gave a single sh!t about anything on your computer because you are no one of consequence.

Can you DM me your tax returns for the past 3 or so years? Also, passwords to your bank and brokerage accounts- not going to take anything, just want to look around. Also, while you're gathering info, if you could send over any pornography you have watched, the times you watched, and precisely how long you watched, that would be appreciated.

You're right the Chinese don't care about our computers and the US govt don't either unless you are a serious criminal. We are still pretty far off from the US govt going after "the enemy within" or people who criticize the govt, and the state of things would need to disintegrate exponentially for us to get to that point.
This is already happening. Have you not been paying attention?

I bought this exact system maybe 6 months ago.

Hardware is good.
The admin/software is limited and leaves something to be desired.
You can't do basic things like blacklist a website.
There is a paid option I have not tried, so maybe you have to pay for it, but it should be a basic part of the admin for free, come on it's 2024 and that should be a part of every medium to high level router at this point.

I'm using them without wired backhaul in AP mode and am maxing out my 1 gig fiber connection plugged into a node which is pretty impressive.
That's because this set reserves the 6Ghz band for wireless back haul so it becomes unusable by devices. AFAIK most devices don't support 6Ghz band yet so it wouldn't be an issue got most people, yet.

No because you aren't the US government. And if you were you wouldn't need to ask for any of that info since they already have access to it all.

This may come as a shock to you but the US government already has your all tax returns on file seeing as how you are the one that voluntarily filed it to them. Just like how they can easily access the records of any account from any US based financial institution anytime they want. They don't need to hack your computer to gain access to your tax return or bank records. Nor do they need to steal your bank log in credentials to drain your funds if the US gov believes you owe them money. They can just levy your bank accounts and take the money. Also the US gov can pretty much just freeze any bank account they suspect of being used in criminal operations just by asking the bank, often without having to even provide proof.

And your ISP already logs every single website and IP address your internet connection accessed. The government can see those records if they really wanted to. So incognito mode isn't going to hide your porn history from the US gov. Even using a VPN that claims to have a zero log policy isn't foolproof. But luckily for you the US gov doesn't care about you watching porn unless it's the illegal underage kind.

Yes I'm aware, which I why I expressed that as a US citizen I have more concern about the US govt than the Chinese govt. I didn't specify this but my comment was in the context of the govt hacking into our computers through router backdoors.

Does Costco do a price protection? I bought this two weeks ago for 399

Yes. You have 30 days. Alternatively, return, then buy again if past the 30 days.
