When I priced out a larger ipad for my wife, comparable tablets were about the same price so if you have need it's what they cost. Of course you can always get something less technically good and still get it done.

If you are simply looking for a netflix consumption device then this can seem very expensive. But there really isn't a better or cheaper option if you are looking for an ultraportable device for color grading, content mastering or other creative work.
