Isn't this just a rotary tool/Dremel with a depth guide? And a rotary tool can cut more than just drywall.

I mean, sure, but these use standard 18v tool batteries for whichever line they belong to, and are built around being used/handled that way rather than a more fine use like most rotary tools.

Honestly, this is a great deal for including the battery and charger at what would otherwise be a tool-only price. But imo the Bosch drywall cutout tool is a better choice particularly for retrofit and overhead use, since it includes the vacuum attachable dust collar.

A great cutoff tool when using it with 1/4" collet. Must use PPE and know what u are doing (obviously). U can also use a carbide tip to grind out metals. Just make sure the accessories and tool RPM are compatible. Think of it as a mini-die grinder.

I'm sure this tool is a God-send if you're doing any minimal drywall work that can't be accomplished with a drywall knife/saw in a few minutes.
