I have two of these, one I got was used, so it wasn't working from the start and I was like - whatevs, i don't care it's a used junk. Then I got a new one, and tried cutting a hole the other day. It was tedious, hole ended up all jagged, uneven, dust all over the place.
My opinion - save your money and get a $5 jabsaw, and enjoy clean straight cuts with no drama.
This type of tool is a game changer if you're hanging full sheets in new construction or remodels. It quickly makes perfect cutouts without needing to carefully measure. But if you're trying to make holes in preexisting walls, you're probably better off with a drywall saw, utility knife, or oscillating tool.

A rather specialized and expensive tool - might be good for someone who hangs drywall all day.
But if you're doing a small project in your home, as mentioned above, there are much cheaper options that can get the job done. There are a lot of other tools I'd get before investing in this one.
A multifunction tool is another one - that can do job involving things other than drywall.
