I got this from a BB deal awhile ago. The screen is HQ & speakers really pack a punch. There's a built in stand that I like. The build is sturdy, battery life substantial & charges type c to type c quite fast. I use this for videos & music so cannot comment about gaming or whatnot. The camera is pointless as most cell phones now have higher MP.
PS: Open box from BB for $146.

The tablet comes with Android 14 installed. The Android 16 is already released by Google. It will probably go from 14 to 16 some time next year. And that will be it.

This seems like a solid budget tablet, but in my research it seems that the G99 processor is the weak point. Most people say it works smoothly, the speakers are surprisingly good, and it works well for media consumption.

It has been sub $200 before, but I'm not sure that price will come back.

My tab p12 came with Android 13 and was promised two updates. It has gotten those 2 updates and was updated to Android 15 in April or May. I don't expect any more OS updates, so would expect something similar for later tablets (2 updates, each probably rolling to the tablet out 6 or 7 months after the Google releases the update)

Bought it recently and was updating it the other day. It asks you to update Android 16 right out of the box

fwiw - the Lenovo website says this tablet will get one major OS update to Android 15 in 2025 Q1 (which should have happened already) and then security patches until July 2028.

For a low-to-midrange table, I think 1 OS update is fine. I wish they gave a couple more years of security updates, but Lenovo has never been great with software support.

At $200, minimum is A14 Apple or G2 Pixel
$300, A16 Apple
$400, M3 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
Mediatek G99 is a $100 YouTube tablet . $200 is ripoff
