The design assumes use in automobiles and other places with standard cup holders. Otherwise, they would be too wide to fit.

Why are most tumblers so lopsided? it makes them more easy to knock down, when most of the weight is on the top part. Are there any designs that are more stable?

I have a 40oz and farking hate it. It will topple right over if you accidentally nudge it, and it DUMPS water so fast. I put one of those little leak-proof gasket kits on it but then air can't get in and drinking the water becomes very difficult as you are pulling a vacuum.

My recommendation is replace the straw with a flip-top straw lid.
