On a trip to Europe now. Boost Mobile / SIM tries to get me on a $20/month roaming plan. I am just using wifi, but very rarely with the new phone.
In Athens, I found only 1 case at a few places. Pricing ranged from 2-8 euros (1.17 E/USD). It has 4 small cutouts for each rear camera and light. It is thin and does NOT protect the front glass in any way as it is short of the front glass by a mm or 2. "Fashion case Mobile Cover Products" Edge 40 Pro. Black, but think there was another color option too. UPC: 6 988188 700292. The shop also had a machine to cut a plastic shield for the glass which included a tiny hole for the front tiny selfie camera. He peeled off some upper and lower plastic tabs in placing the plastic glass cover. Then he carefully got the curved edges covered and very carefully cleaned up the margins. This was not the UV light product. The plastic shield product was cut and installed for 7 or 8 euros. Told there is no curved glass shield for this phone and was not offered a flat glass shield like for the MEP 2022. I replaced my 2022 glass shield for 2 euros and he did the replacement in front of me. Folks at the shop are real pros and the place had tons of selection for many phone types. So yes, this curved screen is proving to be a real pain. Oh well. FWIW, still showing sold out on the Boost Mobile website.
2 main reasons. First, the screen is more vulnerable. You can't find a good screen protector easily and the case doesn't protect the curved part.
Second, when you want to screen save something at the edges, it's harder than regular screens. Quite annoying.
And it doesn't offer anything positive. It's just a gimmick

Motorola isn't forcing anyone to buy 2 year old phone. It's the consumer's choice to look up reviews of what they're buying. If you buy and don't like, when ample amount of videos exist, idk what to say. Your fault for buying. This is literally no different than exotic cars that go 200mph and are largely useless on US roads. And yet people still buy them.

Got one to try out and like it enough to consider using as my daily driver and was thinking to get another to play around with to unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom (never done this before on any phone so want to learn how this all works). But maybe the out of stock is a sign to stop spending more money on this.

Also, does it finally allow you to change the default passkey provider after the update? This functionally was added in Android 14, but for whatever reason, Motorola did not incorporate it into their build. Wondering if you can change passkey provider on A15 on the Edge+ 2023.
TIA!
