Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

Are you saying US Mobile has a "free trial" for eSims that don't require a port-in when you choose their "Don't have a phone number? Leave it empty!" option and that number can be used to enjoy the port-in deal here?
I didn't say that the number can then be ported out. It may be, I don't know.

I didn't try to go through, but the US Mobile account creationg page for the free trial shows "Don't have a phone number? Leave it empty!"
Quote from JesseKnows :
I had believed that if the phone is unlocked (thanks, Thrifty!) it should reveal the eSIM. I unlocked and factory reset. The Settings menus do not show eSIM, only the one IMEI. Dialing *#06# shows IMEI1 and IMEI2. I believe the latter is the eSIM but I'm not sure.
FWIW, with Boots's Android 15, after the factory reset I set up with no network and disabled App Cloud. When I enabled and connected WiFi it asked to update things (I don't recall more details). When I allowed that, App Cloud was updated, enabled, and installed a bunch of crap.
Are you the same Jesse that posted about the $10 Ali smartwatch? I thanked you on that thread and want to thank you again here. Ordered a few more today for friends and family

The free trial does require a port in. They don't require a phone number to sign up but that has nothing to do with the trial. Once you sign up you'll see the trial offer and the terms that go along with it.

Communicated with ThriftyGame5232 regarding unlock code. It did worked properly. Provided him both IMEI and IMEI2. Now phone lists network status as unlocked.
Now looking forward to get rid of Dish Wireless bloatware. So i anybody knows how to upload "normal" unlocked firmware, this instruction will be most welcome.

Being from Canada is an issue. If anyone is in the Detroit area that wants to make a few bucks please send me a PM, looking for 2-3 phones, you can set up to 10 lines on Boost or open another account (I believe) so let me know what you would charge per phone. Located in Windsor so it's a short drive to meet up.

There is no "normal" unlocked firmware for Android anymore. Stock Android is just AOSP - which practically you really would never want to use. Even Google is moving away from AOSP and creating a closed ecosystem with their Pixel variant of Android.

You could flash LineageOS onto your device, but be prepared for reading through forums, knowing how to troubleshoot, and potentially bricking the device if you aren't careful. Would recommend sticking with the stock Dish firmware and just debloat using ADB (methods via Shizuku and Canta are easy and reliable)

Just know that it is a manual process and removing apps are better because you can choose what you want and don't want on your device. Some want Google apps, others do not want any Google apps. Though you should beware that removing apps like this may break certain features that you may or may not want.

I removed Boost Installer, Boost Config, Boost Diagnostics, and Visual Voicemail.
gullzway removed just a few key apps without being too extreme and appears to be happy with his debloat.

got a $135 rewards off for Boost from Capitalone. might give that a try
Did you ever get the rewards from Capital One? I did it. They said it takes 90 days before that transaction will show. Still have a week to go until my 90 days. Will post if I get it.

I doubt they let you have 10 lines. A lot of people got cancellations on their orders out of nowhere. Some got cancellations on the day of delivery.

They don't. You can also report credit card lost. You get a replacement card in 5 days
Nowadays a lot of credit card companies allowed the users to freeze the cards any time through the app.

I've never had a Boost offer work and for me most transactions show up pending/ineligible next day after purchase.

I used urlhasbeenblocked to get 50% back on the service, but so far nothing from Boost Mobile. I am pretty sure that I did correctly. It has been 7 days already.

Not sure what Boost installer is used for.
AppCloud responsible for bloatware installation.
Boost Installer and AppCloud both seem to be responsible for bloatware. I disabled AppCloud and Boost Installer re-enabled it. Disabled both and so far so good.
Appcloud notification is coming from Boost Mobile app. I turned off notifications for both Boost Mobile app and Boost diagnostic app. I also force stop and disabled appcloud app. I think that will stop any annoying appcloud notification. I didn't want to uninstall or disable the Boost Mobile app just in case I want to login into my account later. I still want access to the Boost Mobile app for my account access. After decluttering the unnecesary junk apps and games, the user interface is nice and clean. Motorola phones may come with lot of bloat but they are removable for me whether it be from Boost or Metro.
