Reading some of the comments, I get a sense that many don't know the best way to use a waist fan. I actually didn't either and used to assume that this was a silly device. But, once I learned the best way to use this, I like it a lot. I have one, and I bought another for my friend (a different model). What you want to do is, you clip it to your belt "under your shirt" and clip your shirt's skirt on the outer clip, which creates a dorm/balloon in a sense, then the fan creates a really nice breeze circulating inside your shirt, keeping your body cool. It feels quite nice actually.

How many body parts fans do we need? Wish they could invent a portable whole body fan!

Wow you would look so cool and hip wearing this.
That's what I was thinking. This would really add to my arsenal of ways to embarrass my kids.

Man, if they can integrate P100 filters into this, these waist fan manufacturers can break the 3M Versaflo PAPR monopoly

I've had these for the last 3 months running one in the front and one in the back pointing downward. Other than the horrendous smells, my man parts and booty crack has been dry and comfortable.

I've been skeptical of these fans and whether they'll actually keep my overweight butt cool during a Texas summer. For $14 I'll bite!
Overweight coloradan.. I have a similar "waist" fan and one of those neck fans...
The waist fan is...mainly a waste.
The neck fan, is GREAT.
IT's designed to shoot air up to your head, but it can be worn upside down (at least my model can) and shoots air down on the body...does a REALLY good job when like feeling super overheated to quickly get me comfortable.

In the 80s, kids thought cars would be flying by now. Instead we have these. What a time to be alive.

These seem like an adaptation of Japanese cooling jackets. Japan gets super hot and muggy, a lot of laborers wear jackets with built in fans--they look a little silly but sensible too.
