Look at the socket sizes they come before buying. They have 12 point for 1/2 18,19mm
For those large size bolts, I would prefer 6 point.

This is a great set. I've had it for a couple of years and paid $99.

How does this compared to the DeWalt hundred dollar deal at Home Depot?

How is Craftman's Lifetime Warranty?

I had a Dewalt ratchet that started to malfunction and getting a replacement one from Dewalt was very easy, a couple of emails and I got a new one mailed to me. Is Craftsman as easy as that?

I broke a craftsman socket, and took it to Lowes and they replaced it with a new one no questions asked.

I would prefer 6 point also, but I'm more shocked and concerned that these are only six total 1/2" sockets in the set!
(3 metric and 3 SAE)

Ok I bit when this dropped from 99 to 85, but canceling due to the limited 1/2" socket sizes.

Darn good deal. My DeWalt from pre-covid is comparable, but this is much better price!

I loved Sears, but I fully understand why they went under.

I always remember the salespeople smiling when they did it too… I wouldn't think they'd get a bonus or something, but they sure acted like it.

Returned a socket wrench once. Dude (giant smile) didn't even check mine, opened this drawer full of them, and pulled out another. Still works.

Earlier in thread it sounds like Lowe's will do this for you now? I have wondered if the guarantee followed along with the name, but always figured it was, at best, at Lowe's discretion.

I had friends in the trades that would buy Craftsman hand tools exclusively, for this reason alone. One buddy purchased a tape measure once, and got new tape measures more times than I could count when something would go wrong with it. As an old boss used to say "that's a going out of business plan!", and it was in this case.
