Anybody hit 60 days yet?
8 more days
How do they count this 60-day period? Is it from the date the phone was shipped out, or from the date it was activated? I did not activate the phone until I got the trade-in credit back.
Pretty sure it starts from activation date of the new phone.
I chatted and had it unlocked. I guess I was lucky this time, since I received the phone on July the 23rd, and did not open the box and activate the phone until 10 days later.

My phones were activated on July 24, so today marks 60 days and I was able to unlock both.

Spectrum customer service keeps telling me the trade-in credit takes up to 2 billing cycles to show. My billing cycle ends on the 18th of every month, so for me that would be October 18 for two full billing cycles.

Before this upgrade, I always assumed I could safely cancel my lines after 2 full cycles since the phones would have already been unlocked and the trade in credit sent back to me. When I called today, Spectrum assured me I could still cancel the lines and the trade-in credit would post by the end of the next cycle. Honestly, I don't trust them.

So here's my question: Is it worth paying for one more billing cycle after the next one just to make sure the lines are still open and I actually get the trade-in credit, or do credits usually post even after cancellation of the lines?

Kinda wasting 20 minimum per line, keeping them open an extra month
I'm going to be in the similiar dilemma as you. Given that I only have one line, I'm thinking of just suspending the line instead of cancelling it. Once I get my credit, I will continue the pause till another deal comes along.
I wouldn't trust cancelling the lines to risk the credits have no where to bounce between. We all know spectrum system is sh*t.

If you go into your account, service > mobile > towards the botton, you have option to suspend, it should give you a number to call given they don't let you do it online.

thanks I'll probably just suspend at the end of this billing period and then cancel once the credit hits my credit card. hopefully that works πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ

careful, the lines may need to be in an active status for the trade-in credit to eventually show up.

If that's a possibility, if you don't want to risk it, I'll say is better to just keep one line active while putting the rest on hold. As per my previous trade in experience, the promo credit will appear on your mobile account, it doesn't specifically assign to each phone line. If you don't want to risk it, then I'm sure having one line open while suspending the others should work.

I have another line (a free line from a promotion) open also and Internet service with spectrum so it's not like my account is going to be closed

Does anyone know where the trade in credit will show up? Like will it reflect in a statement. My current monthly bill for mobile is $0 with the free 1 year line so hoping it will still show it

I was not lucky like you lol . Activated fold 7 on july-25. Upgraded the line to a flip 7 on aug-13. Reactive the fold 7 back on the line on aug-16. Tried to unlock the fold 7 today and failed.

"I've retried to unlock the device however, this is the notification I am receiving on my end.
Device not eligible for unlock.
Device Unlock Failed: Device must be on account for at least 60 days to become eligible for unlock."

I wonder if they are now enforcing the 60 days active service on the phone in order to unlock.. I should be able to unlock my Flip Fe tomorrow, then I'll try to unlock the Flip 7 via chat, if that failed I'll put the line back on to Flip 7. I only use 1 line free line, 1st order was Flip 7, then 2nd order was Flip Fe.
