Only 90mg of magnesium comes from a single dosage of this. I think you're confusing actual magnesium intake to magnesium glycinate. Doctor's best has 2000mg glycinate per serving as a comparison but only 200mg of magnesium comes from that dose.

Before you spend more than you need to on magnesium supplementation, please read this article: https://blog.algaecal.com/magnesi...wer-pills/ Despite what internet comments will tell you, magnesium oxide is a fantastic mag supplement. It's also what they will give you at the hospital if you are low on mag. "Higher Bioavailability Does Not Necessarily Translate to More Effective Delivery to Tissues"
Basically snake oil in pills?

Not all magnesium is the same. Had done some research about it after being suggested to start taking it for my blood pressure. Found that there's a type specific for BP and also found the type for sleep. Glycinate will help put you down but the dreams are vivid if you haven't had REM sleep in a long time.
Taurate is what you want for BP but it is harder to find

The article is published by AlgaeCal, a company that sells bone health supplements—including AlgaeCal Plus, which contains magnesium oxide. The tone is persuasive, aiming to reframe magnesium oxide as superior, especially in cost and pill count. It critiques other sources for misrepresenting magnesium oxide, positioning itself as a more trustworthy authority. The conclusion—"Magnesium oxide is the most effective magnesium supplement"—is a strong claim that aligns with their product formulation.📌 Verdict: The motive is clearly commercial. While the science isn't fabricated, it's curated to support their product's inclusion of magnesium oxide.

Do you have a critique of their actual science? I would strongly argue the "commercialization" is with supplement companies pushing the more expensive salts. How is their science curated? You failed to mention. It's not even their science it's an article.

I take magnesium glycinate. I've been on and off various times over recent years. Zero effect on sleep or dreams.

Suspicious that they can fit twice as much magnesium into a single pill compared to the competition. Amazing price as well. If anyone has tried this, please share your thoughts.
Look up calm and the type of magnesium that is. I was so disappointed. Magnesium glycinate is the way to go

Serial scammer alert @ Naturebell:
Contains 41mg of soluble magnesium instead of 90mg.

Anybody notice it's damn near impossible to find a magnesium supplement that's exactly the zma ratio amount of 450mg?

500mg is almost 20% more than the recommended total of magnesium for one adult in a 24 hour period and I recommend starting at half a dose because it does cause grogginess throughout the day if you take the full amount before bed.

Likely on sale because people who take mag glyc know to not slam 500 of it in a single dose.
It's 500mg of Magnesium Glycinate, which is only 14% Magnesium. So one pill only has 90mg of your daily magnesium, or about 20% of the recommended daily amount.

This is only 90mg not 500mg. Look at the label under elemental magnesium, that's what counts. Look at https://www.amazon.com/Natures-Bo...=1-10&th=1 For example, it's actually 240mg

Careful, some people have a reaction to the glycine, causing anxiety.

Glycinate is the anion, or negatively charged form, of glycine. In magnesium glycinate, magnesium is bound to glycine to increase absorption and minimize gastrointestinal side effects. The glycine component is what distinguishes magnesium glycinate from other magnesium salts (like magnesium oxide or citrate); it is also why this form of magnesium is much less likely to cause diarrhea or GI discomfort. There is no evidence that the glycinate (glycine) component independently causes anxiety.

Plenty of anecdotal experiences on Reddit, myself included. But everyone's bodies are different of course.
