i think this model and 23g pin nailer does not have a on/off switch if that affects you. The only way to turn off is to remove the battery

Nail guns on compressors don't have on/off switch either so not sure why this would be a problem.

MHPT has two brad nailers, this is the lower end spring driven version so it doesn't need an on/off switch. The higher end one with the built in air compressor has an on/off.

No one tosses a pneumatic in a bag and it can still fire. I have the 23ga and there's no safety, lockout, or double trigger of any kind. Pull the trigger and it fires whether pressed against something or not. Not a problem for me, but it's important to be aware of.

I also have the brushless, air-chambered version of the 18ga. It has a power button, a physical lockout switch, and a nose piece that must be depressed for the tool to fire, which also times out after 3-4 seconds of inaction, and of course, one can also remove the battery. So yeah, that is pretty different.

do you mean a lock? I have this model its the white slider on the handle
