To the experts here, how does this compare to Integra DRX 3.4? I am looking for a boomy amp for the home theater and 170w/channel is looking attractive compared to the 100w on Integra. There is also 2 year vs 5 year warranty which is important. Thanks in advance.

This is significantly newer than the Integra DRX 3.4; there is added support for Dirac Live Bass Control, independent dual sub outputs, more power, and newer HDMI versions. I bought the DRX 3.4 but wish I had waited until the RZ30 came up.

170w is 1 channel driven. Closer to 100w all channels driven.

Thank you! My notification hit on this and I snagged it instantly. My Denon 3800 has been acting up a bit and I ordered this one to compare. Hopefully this one has better HDMI handshaking than my Denon does with my setup... and I've always wanted to tinker with DIRAC. Cheers!

Absolutely hate that this reseller is using that 170w figure as it's utter and complete bullshit (it's true at 1 channel and 6 ohms, the integra claims 225W at the same requirements.) With 2 channels driven at 8ohm the watts per channel is 100 which is the conditions that most receivers/stores/reviews quote power output at.
If the warranty is the most important thing, the integra would be the way to go despite this being a much newer model (hdmi2.1a gives improvements to HDR supposedly which is an advantage of this newer model.) If room correction matters this is potentially a better option with separate sub outs. If you need 8k@60fps from all inputs (instead of just 3) then this is a better option.
Will this handle 2ohm dips? I need a receiver for movies with my focal Aries evo x 2 towers. I already have the musical fidelity m6si for a integrated amp

It really depends how long the dips are, officially most receivers in this price range support down to 4ohm, if you are using speakers that are routinely in the two ohm range (magnepan for example) then you really are going to want to go external amplification.

Should compare well.
Keep in mind the Dirac RC included in this does not offer their subwoofer correction/integration.
Have you given A1EVO a try, you don't lose subwoofer integration.
The 3800 also offer directional sub calibration works under the same theory behind DLBC/ART.

It's 100 watts Onkyo TX-RZ30 9.2-channel home theater receiver with Dolby Atmos®, Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, Apple AirPlay® 2, and Google Cast at Crutchfield https://share.google/udIYwCHhoimwEK4J8

This should drive those speakers just fine unless you're trying to fill a concert hall.
If you're worried about power don't invest in internal power.
Buy external power and you never have to worry or pay for it again.
That's the whole point of paying for pre outs after all.
You also end up having much better power compared to these higher priced AVRs with so called higher power.
I bought this about 3 or 4 months ago, upgraded my 10 year old theater to KEF Q series speakers, and dual Klipsch Premier subs. Old receiver was a 20 year old Onkyo which still sounded great, but needed to come into the modern age with HDMI passthrough for my new Valerion projector.
Glad I stuck with Onkyo- what sold me on this over other Onkyos was dual independent sub outs, plus the newest hdmi spec. it's got preouts for an amp, so may eventually get a 3 channel amp for my speakers across the front, but this is major bang for your buck IMO
