I have been looking at this monitor since it first came out. It has 1152 dimming zones and very high contrast ratio because of the VA panel and dimming zones. It has the peak brightness of 1246 nit under HDR. It goes between $299 to $249 at Bestbuy. This is a Bestbuy exclusive model.

Many people actually prefer Va panels these days on mini leds bc of the much better contrast. Good Va panels are much improved from before fixing the ghosting and response time issues to a large degree.

The only real downsides compared to ips would be vrr and viewing angles

Hm I wonder if this is the same panel as the ktc - 1152 dimming zones, VA, 180 HZ. https://a.co/d/4af6ohI

I, too, have been looking at this one since it has 2x the dimming zones of their previous version. I have a ton of BB rewards in my account.. might pull the trigger.

Edit: wow, check out the warranty! 3 years, including dead pixels, and 1 year accidental damage included! Only caveat for me is 1x hmdi input. KTC for $20 more has 2x hmdi and a much more ergonomic stand fwiw.

I would choose IPS any day and still rocking a pg27uq and I use it on a dim lid room for years...

The only time I'll consider a VA is on curved monitors cuz the IPS ones seems to be only slight curved 2300r.

Many will consider VA cuz its usually cheaper but saying that VA is good only cuz of contrast is not the reason to go for it due to other flaws...I would avoid VA but it's hard to beat the price if you want to experience true hdr that isn't oled with x3 price or more.

VA panel issues is still present in this model when watching RTINGS's review but again, the price is sweet for 1,152 dimming zones and bright!

Been looking many monitors and trying to get back into ultrawide so wished there was more ultrawides mini led...

I own the original version of this monitor and have had absolutely no issues with it. In fact it's still part of my daily dual monitor setup along with my Samsung 1440p 27" 360hz Oled. My model somehow only has 268 zones and still has no blooming, no ghosting and holds up perfectly in Warzone/Pubg/Cyberpunk/Horizon Zero Dawn remastered/ Forbidden West etc… also the brightness is unreal on it maxing out around 1150 nits. I was running it alongside Cooler Master Tempest GP2711 that has double the zones etc…the cooler master has horrible white glowing with the cursor on dark backgrounds.
Now to this improved model…holy shit what a steal for $250! This is a 100% buy if it matches its previous model…

I would definitely buy a decent monitor mount arm for it. The basic stand is very lacking but for the price, it's to be expected!

No review talks about mounting it, only the limitation of no height adjustment.
I never mounted a monitor before but from videos it doesn't seem like it has the mounting holes.

EDIT: Nvm RATINGS says it has VESA 100x100

If you are not into gaming, Amazon basics has their 27" model made by AOC and has a nice image. I buy them for my company at around $110.

That's just another LED-backlit IPS screen with low nits and meh contrast ratios.

Here is a pretty deep review. Usually would not consider a VA panel but VA + mini-led at this price point may be comparable if not better than a similarly priced IPS panel.
