Monthly services plans technically start at $4.5/mo for a small amount of text or data, while the cheapest usable plan is $10/mo for 2GB of data and unlimited talk/text. For Unlimited data, they start at $25/mo.
For the $4.50/mo plan: Add a new line -> Low Data -> Monthly -> Select 50 MB of data OR 50 texts

This is the price I'd expect for unlocked versions of these phones, without having to go through some carrier to unlock it after x days/months.
Then when you couple it with there being no guarantee it actually unlocks after the requisite period it makes this deal that much worse.

By my calculation, Google Fi would be at least $1,000 cheaper when you include the total cost of four Pixel 10s (regular) and 2 years of service for 4 lines. I'm comparing Fi's Standard plan with USM's Flex.
I may reevaluate after two years — maybe switch to US Mobile with those Pixel 10s, or move to another carrier if there's a big phone discount. Am I missing anything?

$1,200 - $100 - $425 + $180 = $855 + taxes
That's more than this US Mobile price at $819 + taxes, but directly from Google you also get a $200 credit in the Google Store.
Anyway, this US Mobile deal at $819 + taxes is pretty good given that these were just released today, but if the $200 credit in the Google Store is of any value to you, you might try to hunt down a cheap trade-in on eBay or Swappa.

- JULY: Pixel 8 for net $125 (after Best Buy $615 credit for iPhone 11 trade-in that cost only $75 at Metro w/30-day plan); turned around and sold unopened Pixel 8 on Swappa for $370
- AUGUST: Pixel 9 for net $150 (after Best Buy $799 credit + $100 gift card for iPhone 12 trade-in that cost only $185 at Metro w/30-day plan)
- SEPT & OCT: $715 Google Store credit ($225 trade-in for my Pixel 6A, plus $490 trade-in for a Pixel 8 that I picked up in FB Marketplace for $80)
I love my Pixel 9...especially at the price above...but I still regret not snagging the Pro XL version. So unless I'm overlooking something...or Best Buy offers another amazing trade-in deal...I'll likely use my existing Google Store credit to get the 10 Pro XL for about $485 +tax, and bank $600 credit for next time around ($400 for the 9 trade-in, plus the $200 promotional credit for the Pro XL).
Technically, BB's current matching offer is better since the $400 trade-in is redeemable right away, and their $200 gift cards are easier to use/liquidate compared to Google Store credit, but there's no sense in letting a $700+ credit collect dust for another year...maybe it's time to consider a Pixel Watch 4 LTE to go with the 10.
